Innovations, development news, advice, exchange of experience and industry trends are on the agenda – a must-attend event for all those interested in eCommerce. What exactly makes a visit to NRW’s state capital on Friday worthwhile? We’ll tell you.
News from JTL
Even more than in previous years, we would like to present you with insights, previews and innovations in 2018. Our biggest preview will therefore be JTL-Shop 5 and its core feature, the new OnPage Composer. You can experience the new release in an early test version at the JTL-Shop stand. Of course, we are not leaving out our core product JTL-Wawi: Version 1.4 is already being tested by our pilot customers. That’s why we’ll be telling you at JTL Connect which core functions we’re revising with Project 2.0 for the next iteration of our ERP. And what about the new features? The trade fair visitors among you will have to be patient on this point – more information will only be available at JTL Connect itself.
The program
The keynote speech by JTL founder Thomas Lisson will kick off a day full of online retail news. The points mentioned above are part of his presentation, as well as the company’s roadmap for the coming year and other JTL-related information. Afterwards, the main stage will continue in quick succession: Our main sponsor Amazon Pay will show the opportunities of voice commerce as a payment system and Otto Kelm will give language lessons in “Kundisch” by explaining SEO basics for Amazon. We also take a look back three months after the GDPR was launched with lawyer Dr. Thomas Engels – what has happened, what has changed and what fears have come true?
Those looking for practical approaches to optimizing their own work processes will find what they are looking for in the seminar rooms in particular. Our partner PARCEL.ONE, for example, provides useful tips and tricks for international shipping. If you are completely new to online business or are thinking about switching to JTL-Wawi, we will show you how to make a successful quick start or move with our solutions. For those who have already taken this step, we recommend our workflow seminars, which cover automation approaches for new sellers and advanced users.
In addition to the presentations and at the after-show party, trade fair visitors will also have plenty of opportunity to exchange ideas with each other – whether on best practices, individual solutions or topics that are completely unrelated to business. Here, the name of our trade fair is the top priority: to connect with each other.
Even more logistics solutions from JTL at your fingertips
We are rolling out the topic of logistics even bigger than before in 2018. On the one hand, the JTL-WMS live demo stand is the crowning glory of the successful JTL-WMS roadshow. If you have not been able to attend our three dates in the last few months, this is another opportunity to visit and use our demo warehouse. Above all, we have taken the success of the warehouse as an opportunity to also show our other logistics products, JTL-Packing Bench+ and JTL-Shipping, at a separate stand as a live demo. Newcomers to eCommerce in particular will be able to see how these two JTL-Wawi on-board tools can greatly simplify their daily work.
The JTL Connect on Facebook
Those who are unfortunately unable to attend this year’s event do not have to miss out on JTL Connect completely. Our Facebook team will once again be publishing some videos with impressions of the trade fair as well as interviews with partners and exhibitors. So you can at least experience some of the topics mentioned above, such as logistics solutions, from a distance.

An important note regarding admission: In order to ensure a smooth admission process, you must present your printed tickets at the entrance for scanning. You will then receive a wristband, without which you will not be admitted to the hall. So: scan your ticket, put on your wristband and show it to security for admission – and you’re in.

Don’t have a ticket for JTL Connect 2018 yet? Then it’s high time, many are already sold. You still have the opportunity to purchase a ticket online until Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 pm. After that, you can still buy tickets at the box office on site.
