Growth and recruiting at JTL

It was that time again recently. The entire JTL workforce gathered for the quarterly in-house information event, the JTL Update. Anyone who might have thought when entering the conference room at the headquarters in Hückelhoven that there appeared to be fewer free seats available was confirmed shortly afterwards. In his speech, Thomas Lisson noted that there are many new faces in our ranks. To underline this, he asked the newest members of staff to introduce themselves in front of the assembled team. However, very few people had expected the number of new recruits – an impressive 16 new colleagues presented themselves to the plenum. What does this mean for us as a company?

Young, wild and professional

JTL has grown from a small start-up to a medium-sized company in just a few years. What started out as a hobby project has now become an ERP system used by more than 20,000 customers. Due to our rapid growth, we are now experiencing an atmosphere that is certainly unusual for many companies: at JTL, enthusiastic start-up thinking with a lot of creative freedom meets the desire for further growth and the structuring of internal processes. Both are part of JTL – without our flat hierarchies, chaotic-creative meetings and internal table tennis league, many of our colleagues would certainly feel less at home. But the will to constantly increase professionalism and improve our product is also part of us, bringing with it motivation and clear goals.

The fresh wind that seems to be constantly blowing through our halls as a result of the expansion of the team from a handful of people to over 80 employees enriches our corporate culture. For the two Managing Directors, Janusch and Thomas, this side effect is particularly important: new ideas, new perspectives, new approaches. This not only applies to our development department – support, editorial and partner management also benefit from the constant desire for innovation.

In order to maintain this fresh breeze, we are of course also planning further personnel growth. As a recruiter at JTL, it is not only important to me to learn more about potential colleagues, but also to give them an understanding of the spirit and values of JTL. Perhaps our appearance at Bonding shows that we are not afraid to illustrate this in unconventional ways. Head of Development Manuel Pietzsch promoted JTL software as an employer at the contact fair there as Yoda.

As you can see, we have a lot to offer. Of course, we know that the right work-life balance, respect, fairness and appreciation are far more than just a chore. These views are a fundamental part of our company and ensure that we feel comfortable in the company and pull together. Another basic idea unites us: we want to build something together! Whether in accounting or support, we work together on JTL as a company and our shared vision.
