Even though JTL-Software’s first in-house trade fair will not open its doors in Düsseldorf for another three months: Preparations for JTL Connect 2015 on October 20 have been in full swing for weeks. “Every day, this event takes on a more distinctive face,” says Arne Theisen, who is responsible for coordinating and managing this project at JTL-Software.
The event page for JTL-Connect has also been online for a few days now. At jtl-connect.de, numerous trade fair and program information has already been compiled and tickets can also be conveniently booked online.
The idea: eCommerce at your fingertips
“When the first thoughts of organizing our own in-house trade fair began to circulate a good six months ago, I was on fire for this project right from the start,” reports Arne Theisen. He knows how important it is for companies in the software industry in particular to give their products a face.
“There are so many great people working at JTL Software, all of whom have a lot to tell. And there are customers and users of our software that we hardly know anything about. At JTL Connect, we create the opportunity for those involved to exchange ideas, get to know each other better and also learn from each other,” explains Arne Theisen, for whom this aspect is a central task in the planning of JTL Connect 2015.
“The personal proximity to our community has led us to where we are today,” says Thomas Lisson, one of the two founders of JTL-Software, before immediately adding: “And that will remain the case in the future”. JTL Connect aims to strengthen the exchange and “connections” of all players and create new partnerships and synergies.
Exhibition area, lecture program and evening event
The Congress Center in Düsseldorf offers the best conditions for creating an appealing and comfortable exhibitor area. Online marketplaces, store manufacturers and numerous technology, media and service partners will be presenting themselves. “At JTL Connect, we want to offer our visitors plenty of space and points of contact to develop their own ideas in eCommerce,” says Arne Theisen. “If you are still interested in exhibiting at JTL Connect 2015, you have to hurry!”
Keynote speeches and specialist presentations are often the icing on the cake at eCommerce events. Sometimes entertaining, sometimes controversial, they provide important and lasting impetus with their topics and fuel the interaction at the event. “We already have some great people on board,” reports Arne Theisen. The detailed lecture program for JTL-Connect 2015 is still being fine-tuned.

Developer's Room: New developments from the JTL labs

Plans are already well advanced for one or two session rooms in which our software developers will present and explain the technical innovations within the JTL product world. Especially service partners and technically experienced JTL users will get a practical impression of the new possibilities with JTL-Wawi, JTL-Shop or the new JTL-Connectors. An overview of the presentations planned so far can be found at jtl-connect.de/2015/developers-room
No day at the fair without networking in the evening
Many people who know the scene claim that the contacts made during the day only gain weight in the evening. “The atmospheric change from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair to a personal chat in a relaxed environment is incredibly important for the sustainability of new contacts,” says Arne Theisen and goes into raptures.

Just a stone’s throw away, on the former river cruise ship OCEAN DIVA, the JTL team will welcome trade fair guests to the evening event of JTL-Connect 2015. “Being able to enjoy the evening atmosphere along the Rhine on deck and also the impressive and stimulating ambience below deck – I’m particularly looking forward to these experiences with our guests!”, Arne Theisen tells us.
