Last Tuesday, the time had finally come: after many months of planning and organization, our first in-house exhibition, JTL Connect 2015, took place in Düsseldorf. With more than 900 participants, 56 exhibitors, 35 presentations, 1,600 cocktails and a 100-meter-long party boat, it was an all-round successful premiere.
Let's connect! - The day at JTL Connect 2015
Visitors flocked eagerly to the Congress Center Düsseldorf Süd from 08:00 before Thomas Lisson officially opened JTL Connect 2015 at 09:25.

This was followed by exciting presentations by our key speakers on many eCommerce topics. Markus Fuchs (Head of SME Sales DACH at PayPal) gave an introduction to the new PayPal PLUS payment world. Matthias Hesse (Senior Cross Border Trade Specialist at eBay) showed how eBay listings can be optimized for the international eBay marketplaces and thus offer new opportunities for expansion.
Sonja Methling (Senior Manager Merchants Services at Amazon Germany) spoke about the topic of global selling and the possibility of reaching customers all over the world with Amazon. There was also an insight into the development work at JTL: Our two JTL-Wawi team leaders, Manuel Pietzsch and Maik Schwefer, gave a foretaste of the new functions planned for JTL-Wawi in their presentation.

After the lunch break, in addition to further presentations on the main stage, there were interesting presentations and discussion rounds from our technology and service partners in three side rooms. A fourth presentation room, the Developer’s Room, was reserved exclusively for the new and technical possibilities of using JTL-Wawi 1.0, JTL-Shop 4 and the new generation of our JTL-Connectors. Almost all presentations were very well received – there was something suitable for every visitor.
We have put together a selection of the presentations with the corresponding slides on Slideshare: http://www.slideshare.net/jtlconnect
If we receive further slides from the speakers, we will publish them there gradually.
At the same time, a large number of exhibitors, service and technology partners bidder the opportunity for information and exchange at their stands throughout the day. Exciting discussions and new contacts rounded off the day’s program at JTL-Connect 2015.

Ship ahoy! Cast off!
After an informative day at the trade fair, not only exhibitors and participants were looking forward to the festive part of JTL Connect, but of course we were too. Together we embarked on the OCEANDIVA, Europe’s largest party ship, just a few hundred meters away on the Rhine.
The after-fair party once again offered the opportunity to make new contacts and deepen acquaintances. With a great buffet, live music and cocktails such as “Connectinha”, “JTLjito” or “Tequila Wawi”, even the last ice was broken and an eventful day came to a great end.

Voices of exhibitors and visitors ...
Of course, we were and are looking forward to the reactions of our visitors. Feedback from guests is extremely important to us, especially at a premiere. And lo and behold, we seem to have found the right mix with JTL Connect 2015! We received very positive, sometimes euphoric feedback almost across the board via Facebook. Would you like a taste?
