JTL-Wawi 1.4 is only a few months old and we are already updating with version 1.5. As of today, the next version of our ERP system brings many new features for Amazon and eBay users. Whether conformity settings for hazardous goods or order import, we cover a wide range of functions. Changes and enhancements to payment reconciliation are the second core topic of the new merchandise management version. The new version is also the basis for JTL-FFN 2.0. We’ll tell you more about the individual elements below.
New features for selling on Amazon
Merchants who sell on Amazon via JTL-eazyAuction benefit from a wide range of new features in JTL-Wawi 1.5.
Amazon Custom
Do you sell customizable goods such as mugs, T-shirts, caps or other products to which customers can add their own personal touch? With Amazon Custom, customers have the opportunity to specify this individualization on the marketplace pioneer. Until now, however, this information could only be found in Amazon Seller Central. However, JTL-Wawi 1.5 accesses the information and makes it available together with the order in the ERP.

You can also display the information on the order form, the invoice form and the delivery bill. The new feature offers Amazon as an important new sales channel for every retailer who customizes products for customers, which can be controlled centrally via JTL-Wawi.
Amazon conformity settings
Conformity settings – sounds complex, but it’s not. Amazon can request information on products as to whether they are considered hazardous goods or contain batteries, for example. You can now encounter this query in three different places in the ERP:
To answer Amazon’s query, JTL-Wawi 1.5 allows you to set the corresponding attributes for Amazon in the item details for such items.

Amazon IDU
Another new feature from version 1.5 is support for Amazon’s Invoice Document Uploader. If you are not familiar with the IDU, you can use it to upload invoices and refunds that you have created with JTL-Wawi the next time you synchronize with Amazon. You activate the uploader via the global settings – and as soon as an invoice or refund is created for an Amazon sales order, the ERP uploads it to the marketplace as a PDF.

Innovations in the eBay area
Of course, we don’t want to neglect trading via the bay. That’s why we’re giving our eBay sellers a revised order import. A lot has happened under the hood – the order import is now based on new and more error-tolerant code. This means that in the event of a corrupted database, you can import the backup directly without any problems; all eBay orders since the backup will be imported again if you request the orders retroactively. This option must be explicitly set in the redesigned user interface. This was not the case before.
However, the most prominent change for all users is the redesigned user interface:

Payment reconciliation in JTL-Wawi 1.5
We have already made important changes to payment reconciliation for the release candidate. New payment service provider guidelines – namely PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) – were largely responsible for this. This stipulates that from September 14, payment reconciliation will use Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). The new integration of accounts via XS2A is also related to the directive. This means that banks must grant third parties access to customer accounts, which in turn means that we can integrate credit cards and banks that implement XS2A into payment reconciliation.
In short, this means that JTL-Wawi 1.5 opens up a whole range of new payment reconciliation options for you. At the same time, PSD2 means that users of the payment module must work in compliance with the directive by September 14. We therefore recommend updating to the new version.
IMPORTANT: Do you have questions about payment reconciliation according to PSD2? Then contact us at info@jtl-software.com with the subject PSD2.
The JTL-Fulfillment Network
JTL-Wawi 1.5 paves the way for the next big step in our fulfillment agenda. In fact, the merchandise management update provides all the technical foundations for using JTL-FFN version 2.0. 2.0? That’s right – we have created a new version of our fulfillment solution in secret, which will soon replace our first approach. We will be providing more information on this at this year’s JTL Connect.
A complete list of all changes can be found in the changelog of the new version.
