JTL-Wawi 1.4 is available as stable version

The new stable release of JTL-Wawi 1.4 is here. The new version, which has been in the release candidate phase for longer than expected, benefits from a large number of thoroughly tested changes and features. The main focus is on the new customer management and the extensive new features for JTL-WMS and JTL-Packing Bench+. An overview of the content of JTL-Wawi 1.4 can be found below.

Customer 2.0

We have fundamentally revised the customer overview and customer details – with the aim of increasing practical relevance and usability. The changes provide retailers with a comprehensive overview of important key figures, data and information on the respective customer in a direct conversation.

The feature at a glance

Using a dockable widget in JTL-Wawi 1.4, retailers can call up relevant information on customers in parallel to any ERP interface.

• The customer history shows the customer’s last relevant actions in chronological order.
• The key figures in the 360-degree view offer a better assessment of the customer as a whole.
• Quick access tabs allow you to call up invoices, sales orders and packages with a single click.

JTL-Wawi 1.4 therefore offers optimal conditions for talking to customers. Whether you have questions about the last order or want to sell more specifically to individual customers – Customer 2.0 massively enhances this process.

JTL-WMS & JTL-Packing Bench+

JTL-WMS and JTL-Packing Bench+ benefit greatly from the update to version 1.4 of the ERP. It extends the warehouse management software and the shipping module with new usability functions as well as completely new features and a modernized mobile app. Our development team focused in particular on the day-to-day processes in the warehouse, which offer increased efficiency thanks to the new features.

The innovations at a glance

• The scale connection allows parcels to be checked more precisely before dispatch. Costly recalculations due to incorrect shipping labels can therefore be avoided.
• With the manual workflows, warehouse staff will be able to automate recurring processes in future and start them at the touch of a button. For example, bar codes can be reprinted or item labels created fully automatically on request – the time saved is considerable.
• Spontaneous deliveries with unclear content details can now be created automatically on receipt of goods using supplier orders.
• New signals and warning tones make success messages easier to distinguish for warehouse staff and facilitate response decisions.

New app for JTL-WMS

JTL-WMS Mobile is the new native app for Android, iOS & UWP that replaces the old app. It not only provides you with the familiar functions of the old version, but will also be available with every new major release with a new version and in ideal interaction with JTL-WMS.

JTL-Track&Trace beta phase

JTL-Wawi 1.4 contains all the basic functionalities for the new JTL-Track&Trace shipment tracking system. With the start of the open beta for shipment tracking shortly after the release of the new merchandise management version, customers can actively use it for the first time. During this test phase, tracking is available for shipments via DHL (Update June 2022: From JTL-Wawi 1.6.40.0. shipments from DPD and GLS can also be tracked). Unlike the previous JTL-Shipping module, JTL-Track&Trace will become a fee-based module after the end of the open beta. The beta test itself is of course free of charge.

Amazon offer mapping

From version 1.4 of our ERP, it is no longer necessary to maintain duplicate items for FBA listings. Thanks to the new options for variably linking Amazon listings and master items, retailers can now also calculate inventories more cleanly and use purchase order proposals.

The offer mapping at a glance

Usability for online retailers who also sell on Amazon’s marketplace increases significantly thanks to the new feature. Here are a few examples:

• Online retailers can now place 2 listings on one ASIN (Amazon) as they manage SKUs and SKUs separately. Duplicate master articles are therefore no longer necessary.
• In addition, a master item can also be listed on different ASINs – it can therefore be assigned to any number of Amazon listings. The update automatically migrates existing multiple listings to the new logic.

Switching from pure Amazon trading to trading via JTL-Wawi is also easier. As of version 1.4, SKUs of products and SKUs of the associated Amazon listings may differ. They can be assigned after the offer import – the SKUs at Amazon can remain unaffected.

The Amazon offer mapping reduces previous workarounds of many sellers and is clearly oriented towards a more practice-oriented, more efficient use for our JTL-eazyAuction customers.

Optimized document templates

JTL-Wawi 1.4 contains numerous improvements for the use of the most important business documents such as invoices, delivery bills, etc. With the further development of our standard templates and the output module, we offer more options for designing and editing these documents.

The improvements at a glance

• A wide variety of documents can be created and easily assembled using the module library.
• Using the new variable tree, retailers can customize parts of their documents globally.
• Previously created templates work as usual – migration is not necessary.

With the new template and expense management system, we are giving retailers added flexibility. Business documents can now be edited and modified even more easily and without external help.
