JTL-Wawi 1.5
JTL-Wawi 1.5 makes trading on the Amazon and eBay marketplaces even more convenient. There are three new features on board for Amazon: The latest version of our ERP integrates Amazon Custom, integrates conformity settings for hazardous goods and batteries and enables the upload of invoices and refunds to Amazon. But eBay is not neglected either: the new eBay order import is based on a modern code base and simplifies the import of database backups.
What’s new outside the marketplaces? We have made the payment module fit for the PSD2 directive, which will come into effect on September 14, 2019. JTL-Wawi 1.5 also contains the technical foundations for smooth cooperation with the JTL-Fulfillment Network.
Amazon Custom
The Amazon Custom program allows retailers to sell customizable items on Amazon. The special feature for buyers is that they have the opportunity to add names or other individual content to their desired products, such as name tags, mugs or T-shirts. Until now, however, retailers could only view the customization requested by the customer in Amazon’s Sellercentral.
As of JTL-Wawi 1.5, this customization information is imported into the ERP as part of the order. This means that this information can also be output on the order form, the invoice form and the delivery bill. Retailers who rely heavily on customizable products can now serve the important Amazon sales channel even more conveniently.
Amazon conformity settings
If you use Amazon shipping (FBA) as a seller, the marketplace will ask you about the so-called conformity settings – i.e. whether items are considered hazardous goods or contain batteries, for example.
As of JTL-Wawi 1.5, you may encounter this query in three different places in the ERP:
In order to answer this query from Amazon with little manual effort, you can set the corresponding attributes for Amazon in the item details from JTL-Wawi 1.5 onwards.

Upload invoices & refunds to Amazon (IDU)
As of version 1.5, JTL-Wawi supports Amazon’s Invoice Document Uploader (IDU). With this new function, you can automatically upload invoices and refunds that you have created with JTL-Wawi to Amazon during the next reconciliation. Simply activate the uploader in the global ERP settings. From now on, JTL-Wawi will upload your invoices and refunds for Amazon orders directly to the marketplace as a PDF. Settings in Sellercentral are not required.

Innovations in the eBay area
New order import
We have revised the eBay order import and built it on a new, error-tolerant code base. The most prominent change for all users is the redesigned dialogue box.

Import backups
From JTL-Wawi 1.5 onwards, the import of database backups works seamlessly with eBay synchronization. If you have imported a backup, you can perform the eBay synchronization directly. All orders that have been received via eBay since the backup was created will be requested again retroactively and imported into JTL-Wawi. However, this option must be explicitly set in the new dialogue box. After importing the eBay orders, you can continue working as normal.
Payment reconciliation according to PSD2 directive
From September 14, 2019, a new payment service provider directive will apply: PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2). This directive stipulates that payment reconciliation via HBCI/FinTS must use Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). With the changes to payment reconciliation in JTL-Wawi 1.5, we are complying with these requirements. To ensure that you can continue to work with the payment module in compliance with the guidelines, we recommend that you update to JTL-Wawi 1.5 as soon as possible.
Integration of accounts via XS2A
The new integration of accounts via XS2A is also related to the directive. The abbreviation XS2A stands for Access to Account and means that banks must also grant third parties access to customer accounts. As of JTL-Wawi 1.5, we therefore also integrate credit cards and banks that implement XS2A into payment reconciliation. Please refer to this list to find out exactly which accounts and credit cards have been integrated.
EBICS integration in beta phase
JTL-Wawi 1.5 includes integration with EBICS (Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard). EBICS is a new standard for the transmission of payment transaction data that is multibank-capable in Germany. However, the EBICS integration is still in the closed beta phase. If you would like to test the EBICS integration, please contact our product support or create a support ticket in the JTL-Customer Centre. We will then activate the new function for you. Once the beta phase is complete, we will publish the EBICS integration for all users.
JTL-Fulfillment Network
Parallel to the release of JTL-Wawi 1.5, the JTL-Fulfillment Network is entering the open beta phase as a fundamentally revised version 2.0. The new version of the JTL-FFN can be connected to any ERP or store system via an interface. The network is already seamlessly integrated in JTL-Wawi 1.5.
What is the JTL-Fulfillment Network?
The JTL-Fulfillment Network allows online retailers to remove from stock their warehousing and shipping processes to a professional fulfillment service provider. JTL provides all network participants with a near-real time interface that connects merchants and fulfillers. They can handle all the processes of outsourced warehousing.

Control fulfilment from JTL-Wawi
Many functions of JTL-FFN can be conveniently controlled from JTL-Wawi. As an online retailer, for example, you can specify directly when ordering from suppliers in JTL-Wawi that the goods are to be delivered to your fulfillment center. You can also control stock transfers to FBA warehouses or the processing of orders as usual in ERP.
Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime via the JTL-FFN
A special advantage of the JTL-Fulfillment Network: Your fulfiller can also fulfill Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime orders for you. You store your Amazon access data once in the JTL-FFN. Your fulfiller can then carry out the shipment without you having to give them access to your login details or manually exchange shipping labels. All data is securely and reliably linked via the JTL-Fulfillment Network.
Further innovations in the JTL-Fulfillment Network 2.0
We have fundamentally revised the front end of JTL-FFN and optimized the user experience. Among other things, we have improved the search and filter criteria to make it even easier for you to find the right fulfillment partner. In addition, we have developed a new process for assigning shipping methods between merchants and fulfillers – known in technical parlance as shipping method mapping. Fulfillers now share selected shipping methods with their merchants. Retailers can simply link their own shipping methods to these. This means that there is always a clear assignment.
