JTL-Wawi 1.2 expands the range of functions for online business
ERP focuses on customer orientation and attention to detail in new version
Hückelhoven, March 08, 2017 – With JTL-Wawi 1.2, JTL-Software-GmbH delivers numerous innovations for online merchants and proves once again that it takes customer feedback seriously. New features such as stock reservation after order receipt, customer-specific prices and direct payment reconciliation expand the extensive service portfolio of the free ERP system. Online retailers also benefit from the revised item and marketplace management, which improves the performance and usability of proven functions. The new version of the software is available for customers to download from today.
New options in the trading model
More than 20,000 customers use the Hückelhoven-based company’s ERP system. However, not all customers sell according to the same principle. In particular, retailers who regularly work with oversales and low stock levels would like to have the option of stock reservation after order receipt. As of JTL-Wawi 1.2, Application users have the choice of delivering goods in the order in which payments are received or in the order in which orders are received. In the latter case, the system reserves the goods when the order is received. As a result, customers who pay by direct debit, for example, are not at a disadvantage compared to customers who use a faster payment system such as PayPal. This is because they would otherwise receive the current stock first.
JTL has also expanded the payment reconciliation itself. Thanks to the direct integration with HBCI / FinTS and PayPal, online merchants will in future be able to receive and send payments directly in JTL-Wawi. The management of finances within ERP not only prevents system breaks, but also allows users to react immediately to incoming payments and manage refunds. This not only optimizes the sales process for the retailer. The customer also benefits when the seller has a constantly updated insight into incoming and outgoing payments.
Many customers of the Hückelhoven-based company also wanted to be able to set individual prices for individual customers using JTL-Wawi. With the recent update of the JTL-Shop to version 4.05 and the new version of the ERP, this is now possible. This allows online retailers to build and strengthen customer relationships by means of customized pricing.
Optimize existing functions
Once again, the company put a lot of effort into improving the services already included. In version 1.2, the development teams focused on item and marketplace management. The former benefits from optimized usability and an expansion of the filter functions it contains. This gives e-commerce users an even faster and more efficient overview of their product range and allows them to incorporate this knowledge directly into their marketing efforts.
Marketplace management, on the other hand, has mainly received performance optimizations. In future, retailers with large quantities of listings in particular will benefit from much shorter access times when maintaining their listings.
“Our new version of JTL-Wawi specifically addresses many of our customers’ wishes. New functions and additional attention to detail offer online merchants lots of improvements for their day-to-day business,” comments JTL Managing Director Thomas Lisson on the release. “At the same time, we have also worked a lot on the core of the solution. With the new versions of our software, we not only want to deliver obvious improvements, but also ensure that our products are future-proof.”
