The first result of the joint work of ShopYard24 and TS Software GmbH for JTL-Wawi is now available. With tssEDIYard, JTL users who are confronted with the topics of EDI or EDIFACT now have a solution for implementing these with JTL-Wawi.
Initial reactions and inquiries from customers show that ShopYard24 and TS Software have backed the right horse with the “tssEDIYard” add-on module. Especially in the retail sector, where JTL is strong, the topic of EDI / EDIFACT is playing an increasingly important role.
A happy coincidence
Like many innovations and inventions in history, the collaboration between ShopYard24 and TS Software GmbH came about by chance and only later did it become clear what a success story it was to become:
A customer who was already using TS Software’s EDI solution in his former ERP system decided to switch to a new ERP from JTL. However, he wanted to continue using TS Software as an EDI partner. He therefore asked his specialist retailer, ShopYard24, whether it would be possible to use a TS Software solution in JTL-Wawi as well. The possibility did not yet exist. However, initial discussions between ShopYard24 and TSS showed that there was a great deal of common ground on which they would like to build.
A lot has happened and changed since then, but one thing has remained the same: the certainty that the collaboration has continued just as fruitfully as it began in the initial talks.
This is because the small external EDI tool, which was based on JTL software in the new solution, developed into an additional module with a wide range of functions. It offers all the functions that a user needs to exchange documents electronically with their trading partners. This gives JTL-Wawi another strong feature in its list of possibilities, which for many should be, if not decisive, then at least a decisive factor in choosing JTL as their merchandise management system.
JTL can EDI
Thanks to ShopYard24’s many years of experience with JTL products and TS Software’s experience in the field of EDI, a comprehensive solution has been created. On the one hand, it offers flexibility through extensive configuration options to respond to all message partner requirements. On the other hand, it has the requirements of JTL users in mind and also fulfills the desire for the greatest possible automation with an appealing “look and feel”.
Via an external “control center”, users can extend the fields and functions of JTL-Wawi that are not yet adapted for EDI by default. This allows additional master data to be entered and setups to be made. The actual data exchange takes place automatically in the background. All information about its success or any errors that may have occurred is displayed in the control center.
In addition, the control center is also intended as a “start screen” for other additional solutions that are to be developed in cooperation between ShopYard24 and TSS. And we can already reveal one thing: The evaluations that are already integrated into the control center are already very popular and make the daily work of the first JTL users easier.

The creation of the add-on module through cooperation between users, third-party providers and JTL technology partners also ensures that it is just as tailored to the requirements of merchants as JTL’s own solutions.
