Half a year has now passed since the release of JTL-Packing Bench+. The response from customers has been consistently positive – users are delighted with the optimized processes and ease of use. However, this is no reason for us to rest on our laurels. Quite the opposite: our plan was to equip even more customers with this useful tool. So to ensure that every user can benefit from it in future, we have not only created new features, but the software solution will also be free of charge – all in a new guise: JTL-Packing Bench+.
What does the new packing table+ do?
In addition to all the positive feedback, users have also expressed constructive criticism: so far, the previous version has mainly benefited medium-sized customers. But what about those who have a low sales order volume or very small warehouses?
We took this to heart and have therefore structured JTL-Packing Bench+ as follows: The previous packing table forms the sub-item “Pack picklist” in the new version. All previously known functions are included here. You can commission and pack several sales orders at the same time. Employees in the warehouse pick the items using the created pick list and pack the goods for each sales order individually. A new addition is the packing of individual orders without a pick list. This function, called “pack order”, is particularly interesting for smaller mail order companies with a low sales order volume or small warehouse size. This is because the creation of pick lists is often unnecessary due to the lower sales order volume. With JTL-Packing Bench+, we are therefore introducing the option of processing individual orders via the software. Simply scan the invoice or sales order and pack the associated items via scan or confirmation – done!
All other features such as automatic document printing, shipping emails and shipping data exports are available, as are configurable packing instructions and the integrated integration with JTL-Shipping. With this function, you can easily send any sales order that can be delivered and at the same time ensure that the right goods reach the recipient.
JTL-Packing Bench+ can do even more
As already announced, JTL-Wawi also offers a new returns management function from version 1.1. JTL-Packing Bench+ contains a dialog for this purpose, which enables the simple processing of returns in the warehouse. It does not matter whether the customer logs in the return beforehand by email or telephone or simply sends the goods. With the new “Change condition” dialog, you will also be able to rebook items from “defective” to “used” with just a few clicks. Or if you decorate items yourself, for example, you also have the option to rebook the item from “unfinished” to “decorated”.
Conclusion
With JTL-Packing Bench+, we are setting a new standard in the integration of warehouse processes into an ERP system. You benefit from a lower error rate when packing, as all documents are output on a sales-order-related basis – this makes it easier to avoid mix-ups. The optional scanning of individual items also protects against packing errors.
With the upgrade to JTL-Packing Bench+, however, we would like to provide small and medium-sized retailers in particular with a tool that enables them to pack individual orders as efficiently as possible directly in stock. The new convenience provided by the additional integration of the warehouse functions of the returns management module in JTL-Packing Bench+ should also please many customers.
Thanks to this clever integration of office and warehouse and the user-friendly interface, nothing stands in the way of future growth in the warehouse area. Also from a developer’s point of view: we have the option of adding new functions in the future that your employees can use directly in the warehouse.
