DATEV-Rechnungsdatenservice 2.0 in JTL-Wawi

We already announced the new feature at the last JTL Connect, and now it’s finally available: DATEV-Rechnungsdatenservice 2.0 from our partner DATEV. With version 1.5.31 of our ERP system JTL-Wawi, which we expect to release in the coming week, the transmission interface will be implemented natively. What functions will be available to you? And what advantages does the invoice data service offer? We’ll find out in today’s blog post.

The invoice data service 2.0 - a version of the DATEVconnect online interface

With the DATEV-Rechnungsdatenservice 2.0, your structured invoice data from A/R invoices can be transferred from JTL-Wawi to the DATEV data center. From there, the data can be transferred to the DATEV accounting programs and booking proposals can be generated. Your tax consultant can easily access and process your data at the click of a mouse.

How to use the invoice data service 2.0 in JTL-Wawi

From version 1.5.31 of JTL-Wawi you will find the button “DATEV-Rechnungsdatenservice 2.0” in the payments area. Click on it to open the window with the transfer option to DATEV. Depending on the filter set (period, transfer status, Company), a selection of invoices for transfer is displayed here. You can send the selected invoices to the DATEV data center via the “Transfer” field.

Before transferring data, you must authenticate yourself via DATEV SmartLogin. As described in the box above, you will only receive the access data from your tax advisor.

When transferring your invoices, JTL-Wawi transfers the data in XML format to DATEV, where it can be retrieved and further processed by the accounting programs.

What happens after the data transfer?

After the data transfer, your tax advisor can use the “Enter → Post documents” field in DATEV Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen to retrieve the invoice data in the form of posting proposals for a selected posting batch and post it accordingly. Of course, this option is also available to you as a self-booker in DATEV Mittelstand Faktura mit Rechnungswesen.

Transfer payment data from PayPal

You can also use the PayPal payment data service interface to transfer the payments you have received from your customers via this channel to DATEV. The payment and invoice data can be automatically reconciled in DATEV Accounting.
