JTL-Software acquires FOC Solutions GmbH and strengthens its EDI capabilities

Hückelhoven, 19. März 2026 – JTL-Software-GmbH has acquired FOC Solutions GmbH. Through this acquisition, JTL is directly strengthening its capabilities in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and further expanding its B2B functionalities in purchasing and sales. At the same time, JTL is expanding the connectivity of its ecosystem to additional systems, partners, and sales channels. FOC Solutions already has a steadily growing network of more than 500 EDI partners.

As a result, JTL customers benefit from easier access to automated, standardised business processes with major retail partners and suppliers. On the sales side, one of the key strengths of EDI is the structured connection to retail companies such as Rewe or Edeka. This does not involve selling via marketplaces, but rather supplying central warehouse facilities and local branches based on standardised digital processes. Another practical example of such EDI processes is Amazon Vendor. In this procurement model, manufacturers or suppliers sell their goods directly to Amazon. Orders, delivery notes and invoices are exchanged automatically between the systems involved. EDI forms the technical foundation for this.

For FOC Solutions’ customers, collaboration and existing relationships with FOC Solutions’ contacts will remain unchanged. The current subscription structure will also stay in place. New customers are no longer being accepted in the service partner context. Looking ahead, access to EDI functionalities within the JTL ecosystem is set to be further simplified and made more structured.

With the integration of FOC Solutions, JTL aims to make complex B2B processes more efficient, direct, and accessible. The acquisition is therefore a further step towards supporting retailers and businesses in the digitalisation of key commercial processes.
