Ralph Schweiker becomes new CEO at JTL-Software

JTL sets the course for further growth with expanded Managing Director

Hückelhoven, April 27, 2022 – JTL-Software-GmbH (JTL) is reorganizing its top management team. Ralph Schweiker, who has been Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Hückelhoven-based software company since December 2020, will now lead the day-to-day business as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The founders of JTL will continue to lead the company in the future, but will withdraw from day-to-day operations and focus on strategic business areas.

Expanded Managing Director as the basis for further expansion

The expansion of the Managing Director is part of the company’s ongoing growth and the associated demands on the internal structure. In addition to the product range, the number of employees at the software provider has also risen steadily over the last five years. JTL now employs over 200 people. The company began expanding and professionalizing its internal structures back in December 2020 and strengthened the Managing Director team with Ralph Schweiker as COO. He wants to continue the successes achieved in this way in his new position in a sustainable manner: “The two founders and the entire JTL family have built a great company that is on a solid financial footing. But we still have a lot of potential. We must now fully exploit this.”

Expanding visions and future projects

With the structural realignment, the software company intends to continue developing innovative solutions for retail, online and multichannel retail and expand its market position. In addition to expanding its key account listings, Ralph Schweiker intends to focus on promoting young talent and internationalization. The new CEO brings with him decades of experience and management expertise and has already held management functions in a wide range of industries. As a graduate in business administration and education, he has specialized in personnel and organizational development in the course of his career.

Founder brothers continue to help shape JTL vision

Even though the two brothers are stepping back from day-to-day operations, they will continue to help shape the innovative strength of their company. Both have stated that they want to concentrate more on the further development of long-term strategies and the further professionalization of the product portfolio. The JTL founders therefore see the expansion of the top management team as the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s history: “We want to actively shape the retail of the future and are fully confident that Ralph will lead JTL into a new era.”
