- According to a study by the Swiss Trade Association the popularity of omnichannel shopping in the DACH region has increased steadily since 2017. Omnichannel solutions from JTL and Mollie support retailers with sales growth.
Amsterdam / Hückelhoven July 16, 2024 – JTL-Software-GmbH (JTL), a leading German eCommerce solution provider, and the Dutch financial services provider Mollie are entering into a strategic partnership. The long-term partnership is the result of a collaboration on individual projects that has been in place since August 2023. It enables seamless integration of Mollie’s payment services into JTL’s eCommerce solutions and offers merchants enhanced payment options and an improved shopping experience for end customers. The decision to partner between Mollie and JTL was reinforced by the already large joint customer portfolio of over 1,600 satisfied customers of both companies.
According to the results of the Google Omnichannel Future Study (2023), 50% of consumers want a simple and consistent shopping experience – regardless of whether they store online or offline. A study by the Swiss Retail Association also found that the proportion of consumers who shop at omnichannel retailers has risen continuously since 2017: by 8% in Germany and Austria and by 11% in Switzerland. The right omnichannel strategy is therefore becoming increasingly important for eCommerce SMEs in order to be successful in a competitive market environment. As partners of local SMEs, JTL and Mollie are now pooling their expertise to offer tailor-made and intuitive tools and solutions – especially with regard to omnichannel activities.
Seamless payment solutions for a smooth customer experience
Through their close cooperation, Mollie and JTL enable a seamless integration of payment services into the relevant areas of JTL. Mollie provides a wide range of online and offline payment solutions within the JTL ecosystem, including the ability to process transactions directly in the ERP JTL-Wawi. This allows merchants to manage refunds and benefit from improved reporting options. The integration is currently available in the beta version.
JTL implements omnichannel strategies through the use of APIs and REST APIs in various areas to enable the integration of various sales channels without system discontinuity. For example, data is synchronized between marketplaces to create a uniform workflow for retailers.
As an all-round provider, JTL covers all areas and processes of eCommerce in its solution portfolio. This includes the free JTL-Wawi ERP system, the JTL-eazyAuction marketplace interface, the JTL-Shop shop system, the JTL-POS mobile checkout app and the JTL-WMS warehouse management system.
- Thanks to the partnership, Mollie’s integrations in JTL-POS and JTL-Wawi can also be used in addition to the existing integration in JTL-Shop.
- The integration into JTL-Wawi enables merchants to manage refunds and offers simpler reporting options. With Mollie POS in the checkout app JTL-POS, JTL merchants can use an omnichannel solution for their online and offline operations.
- The integration with JTL-Wawi will provide retailers with refunds within ERP and easier reporting options.
- With Mollie POS in JTL-POS, JTL merchants can benefit from an omnichannel solution for their online and offline operations.
In order to offer customers an even better shopping experience, the partnership aims to further improve JTL’s existing integrations for eCommerce shops, ERP and POS checkout systems.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with JTL and offer an enhanced payment experience to our 1,600 joint customers,” says Annett Polaszewski-Plath, Managing Director DACH at Mollie. “By integrating our payment services into the JTL ecosystem, merchants can benefit from an omnichannel solution that seamlessly supports both online and offline transactions.”
“By working closely together, we will be able to offer both merchants and service partners customized payment solutions that are precisely tailored to their requirements. At a time when eCommerce is becoming increasingly complex, we are creating seamless shopping experiences” says Sebastian Evers, CEO of JTL.
Initially, Mollie’s payment services were successfully integrated into JTL’s POS system (Point of Sale) and the ERP system JTL-Wawi (beta version). This means that merchants can now use Mollie’s omnichannel payment solution for point of sale and eCommerce and control it centrally from the ERP.
