JTL-Wawi Cloud: ERP & Co. can now be used regardless of location and device

Hückelhoven, August 25, 2021 – With JTL-Wawi Cloud, JTL-Software-GmbH (JTL) is releasing a powerful cloud version of its software today. Application users can control all steps of their retail business from any location and device. At the same time, users benefit from a secure and high-performance server structure that ecomDATA GmbH (ecomDATA) has developed as a long-standing partner especially for the operation of JTL products and now provides for JTL-Wawi Cloud.

New cloud version enables retailers to work on the move

More flexibility, convenience and mobility – these are the goals that JTL is pursuing with today’s release of JTL-Wawi Cloud. “Users should be able to work with our software regardless of their operating system and from anywhere in the world,” explains Thomas Lisson, CEO of JTL. “Mobile access is also possible with the new cloud version. The requirements for ‘remote work’ have not only increased due to coronavirus. With JTL-Wawi Cloud, we enable our customers to use JTL the way they want to. And to drive their business forward without having to worry about complex network installations.”

Modern RDP cloud server offers convenience and security

By using the cloud-based solution, users access a powerful RDP cloud server. Both the ERP system JTL-Wawi, which acts as the central control tool for all JTL products, and the associated SQL database are installed on this server. This means that even larger teams with any number of workstations can access a shared database. However, the most important innovation for retailers is a different one. This is because JTL solutions were previously primarily at home on Windows systems. However, the new cloud infrastructure enables almost native use on MacOS and Linux systems. The software company thus offers merchants new options when choosing a bidder.

The specialists at JTL and its partner ensure the security and maintenance of the system. As is the case with many cloud solutions, the following applies from now on: no more tedious in-house IT management, instead retailers can invest more resources in selling and marketing their goods.

Launch Applications easily with the new CloudAPP Launcher

The release of JTL-Wawi Cloud is also accompanied by the publication of a new CloudAPP Launcher: With its help, users can use ERP directly as an app. The familiar working environment then appears on the desktop – without the disruptive elements of a remote desktop.

In addition to JTL-Wawi, other JTL software solutions will also be available as a cloud version in the future, which can then also be controlled via the new CloudAPP Launcher.
