JTL-Wawi 1.3 emphasizes attention to detail
New Version Prioritizes Optimizations Over New Features
Hückelhoven, November 28, 2017 – With version 1.3 of JTL-Wawi, now available, JTL-Software-GmbH is delivering a new major release of its free inventory management software. Unlike previous releases, this one is all about attention to detail. The Hückelhoven-based company has revamped many of the software’s features, such as payment reconciliation, the integration of Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime, and the statistics. The most significant new feature in JTL-Wawi 1.3 is the integration of GLS into the JTL-Shipping logistics interface.
Focus on Customer Needs
While JTL-Wawi 1.2 introduced a number of new features, the e-commerce experts decided to update numerous functions of their software in version 1.3. To this end, the development department had gathered extensive customer feedback at the company’s events. The JTL Issue Tracker published by the company, which provided customers with an overview of JTL Software’s development work, also served as a feedback portal.
Using the insights gathered, the company completely overhauled the statistical analyses of inventory management and improved the precision of the results. The payment reconciliation feature, which was first introduced in version 1.2, is now available to all users of the software in the new release, thanks to expanded permission management for the module. The software developers paid particular attention to performance and filters in inventory management—a core function for every retailer that further simplifies their daily work. Usability was not neglected either: Setting up and managing shipping methods for customers using Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime can now be done in just a few simple steps.
New logistics services for shipping
The JTL-Shipping logistics interface is the main source of new features in JTL-Wawi 1.3. By integrating GLS, retailers now have access to the company’s comprehensive shipping service options directly within their inventory management system. But the integration of Deutsche Post’s PRIO service and the age verification check for book, merchandise, and DVD shipments also expand the shipping capabilities of many online retailers.
“In recent years, it has been important to us to provide our customers with many useful features for online retail. With JTL-Wawi 1.3, we felt it was time to update these features. Since e-commerce is a very fast-paced industry, such adjustments and enhancements are essential to give customers a decisive competitive advantage,” said Thomas Lisson, Managing Director of JTL-Software. “At the same time, we are strengthening the foundation of the JTL product ecosystem. If our inventory management system meets our customers’ needs, they will be well-equipped to handle future challenges.”
