JTL-Software publishes major release 1.0 of the free ERP system JTL-Wawi

The largest release in the company’s history brings many new functions and interfaces

Hückelhoven, 18.09.2015. Under the motto “Good things come to those who wait”, JTL-Software shared the official release 1.0 of the free JTL-Wawi ERP system yesterday evening. The new version comes with many functions that will make the daily work of online retailers easier. This is why the new version has been eagerly awaited by small and large online and mail order retailers.

The new functions include redesigned item management, greatly simplified shipping administration using the packing table and JTL-Workflows, which perform recurring daily tasks fully automatically. Furthermore, merchants can print their shipping labels directly from JTL-Wawi using the new JTL-Shipping shipping tool.

Time-consuming listing and maintenance of items in the Amazon product catalog is now easier and faster with the Amazon Lister. In addition, integration with almost all eBay marketplaces worldwide is now available.

At the same time as the release of JTL-Wawi 1.0, the new JTL-Connectors for the integration of various store systems into the JTL-Wawi ERP were released. This means that online retailers who use or plan to use the store systems Shopware 4/5, Gambio or modified eCommerce can now also use JTL-Wawi 1.0.

Janusch and Thomas Lisson are proud of the new ERP, but also of their team that has been working on the release over the past few months. “JTL-Wawi 1.0 is a milestone in the history of JTL software. The version number 1.0 shows how much the software has changed compared to the previous versions. Without wanting to appear arrogant, we can now say that JTL-Wawi 1.0 will really help online merchants in their day-to-day business. It is also important to us that retailers who use other store systems can now use our free ERP,” explains Thomas Lisson.

“Of course, we hope that many retailers with store solutions from other manufacturers will now use our JTL-Wawi thanks to the connectors,” admits his brother Janusch Lisson openly.

JTL-Wawi 1.0 has been improved and expanded in many areas.

Item management 1.0 - new interface with room for customization

JTL Software has closely followed user feedback for the redesign of item management. The new masks for item details were developed in collaboration with the JTL community and are therefore optimally aligned with the customer workflow. Shipping Management & Packing Bench+ 1.0 – Optimized processes for deliveries.
The new shipping process of JTL-Wawi supports the user in the order preparation of goods. Pick lists can be generated via the Wawi and processed easily and efficiently in the packing table. The new bulk delivery offers the user an influence on the delivery process even before shipping.

The workflows in JTL-Workflows 1.0 - standard tasks are automated

Daily recurring tasks are automated using freely definable “if-then” rules. These include, for example, the automatic selection of a specific logistics provider depending on the shipping method (e.g. if Packstation, then only Deutsche Post possible) or protection against accidental errors (if item is listed below purchase price, then set sales order to status “For review”).

JTL-Shipping - Print shipping labels directly from the Wawi

The new integrated shipping tool JTL-Shipping eliminates the need to install third-party software for the integration of shipping service providers. JTL has integrated leading logistics providers directly into the ERP so that parcel labels or stamps can be printed at the workplace. All that is required is an Internet connection and a business customers account with the respective logistics provider.

A marketplace for eBay and Amazon

In Wawi 1.0, the eBay and Amazon marketplaces are combined and can be managed centrally in a standardized window. In addition to eBay Germany, most international eBay marketplaces are also integrated. New design templates, the use of the eBay vehicle usage list (FVL) within JTL-Wawi 1.0 and the use of national and international eBay shipping cost tables are just some of the many small and large innovations in this area.

The Amazon Lister - maintaining the Amazon product catalogue has never been easier

The time-consuming entry of item data via Amazon Seller Central or the time-consuming provision via flat file has come to an end. The new Amazon Lister in JTL-Wawi 1.0 enables simple and fast creation of listings for new items in the Amazon product catalogue. All required data is provided directly from JTL-Wawi for all Amazon categories on all Amazon marketplaces.

JTL-Connector: Connecting JTL-Wawi with third-party provider store systems

Parallel to the launch of JTL-Wawi 1.0, the new JTL-Connectors for the integration of various store systems with the new JTL-Wawi ERP were also released. A JTL-Connector acts as an interface between a third-party provider store system and JTL-Wawi and enables a bidirectional exchange of (almost) all required data.

With the help of the JTL-Connectors, online retailers who use or plan to use the store systems Shopware 4/5, Gambio or modified eCommerce can now also use the JTL-Wawi ERP. Connectors for other store systems such as Oxid, Magento and Presta are in the works. All are currently undergoing quality assurance.
