JTL software, DHL, eBay and the Händlerbund put together an all-round carefree package for hard-pressed retailers
Experts deliver massive listing of software, services and knowledge building
Hückelhoven, April 16, 2020 – JTL-Software and its partners have launched an initiative to support the retail sector. The Heinsberg-based company has joined forces with DHL, eBay and the Händlerbund to create the comprehensive “Quick-Start in Online Business” package. Retailers receive free software, expert individual advice and extensive services for eCommerce. On top of this, the retail experts provide comprehensive knowledge building through webinars and items. This enables newcomers to online business to quickly get ready to sell in their own store and on digital marketplaces.
Assistance for the first online sale
In view of the current difficult situation for brick-and-mortar retailers, JTL Software planned a relief operation at an early stage. The biggest problem, however, was the use of the necessary software – after all, the retailers needed to have all the hurdles removed as quickly as possible so that they could easily restart trading. For this reason, the Hückelhoven-based company opted for extensive consulting, which accompanied the deployment of a large, free software package comprising ERP, online store and integration with major marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon.
The hurdles are therefore removed in two steps in the Quick Start campaign: retailers benefit from initial, in-depth advice that deals with their specific situation. Once the necessary software solutions have been selected and installed, prospective retailers can learn how to take their first steps in online business via knowledge-building webinars and items created specifically for the campaign. From setting up the ERP to the first sale in their own shop or on a marketplace such as eBay, all the steps to successful online trading are covered.
Strong partnerships expand the listing
To round off the care package, JTL’s strong partnerships were needed: three well-known companies recognized the difficult situation for retailers just as quickly and were ready to help quickly. Deutsche Post and DHL are available to retailers as contacts for logistics issues and provide support with the local marketing of the new online listings. On top of this, the shipping experts are focusing on rapid onboarding of new customers so that they can start shipping their goods immediately.
In turn, eBay supports local sellers in expanding their sales channels. Over the next six months, campaign participants will not only enjoy free strategic premium advice, but will also benefit from a free premium store and commission savings.
To ensure legal protection, the Händlerbund provides three months of support from its specialist lawyers. There are also plenty of tested sample templates and a professional evaluation tool for the online store. DHL, eBay and the Händlerbund also help a lot with the knowledge building formats. Selected experts deliver first-hand information on their respective areas of expertise in the webinars.
Enabling borderless trade
JTL Software’s other partners also saw the opportunity to help. The company collected a wealth of offers of help on its campaign page. Curious customers can find hosting options, templates for the new online store, setup services and much more. This means that there are many more ways for new online retailers to professionalize their new business. This also makes it possible to trade across German borders.
“We noticed the far-reaching effects of the crisis early on. However, it was important to us not to launch a quick-fire campaign, but to provide a well thought-out approach to immersing ourselves in online business,” says Thomas Lisson, Managing Director of JTL Software, describing the large-scale campaign. “With many years of our own experience in the industry and the active support of our partners, we can now show retailers the best possible option for continuing their business despite social distancing and securing it for the future.”
