Participating vocational schools benefit from numerous advantages
Hückelhoven, July 01, 2019 – The online business experts at JTL-Software-GmbH have launched a new, nationwide cooperation project with vocational schools: JTL macht Schule is intended to help improve standards in the eCommerce clerk apprenticeship, which was only launched in 2018, and prepare trainees for their future careers in the best possible way. To this end, the company offers training schools a comprehensive and free service package – including technical support, software products, SQL hosting and teacher training.
The introduction of the cross-industry apprenticeship in eCommerce poses a number of challenges for vocational schools: On the one hand, there is a lack of tried and tested didactic methods for practice-oriented teaching. On the other hand, the technical focus of the apprenticeship requires a high standard of software and hardware.
This is where the nationwide JTL macht Schule project comes in, which was developed in collaboration with educators: JTL-Software-GmbH provides participating vocational schools located in Germany and Austria with a comprehensive support package. This includes various services ranging from comprehensive advice and technical support to teacher training and assistance with the development of learning materials. However, the basis of the support is the free provision of JTL’s software solutions, which are specially tailored to the requirements of eCommerce. These include the JTL-Wawi merchandise management system, JTL-Shop for creating your own online shops and JTL-WMS for warehouse management. With them, the trainees get to know some of the most frequently used software solutions in eCommerce in Germany during their time at vocational school.
According to Thomas Lisson, Managing Director of JTL, this offers a decisive advantage: “If vocational schools use established and tried-and-tested software for teaching, the students are quickly equipped for their day-to-day work as prospective online retailers – because many of their future employers already use JTL products.”
The fact that JTL macht Schule optimally serves the needs of teachers with its support plan is demonstrated by their very positive response: over 25 vocational schools have already taken advantage of JTL’s service package – and new ones are regularly added.
