JTL Connect: Solution previews and hands-on software are the focus of the event

Hückelhoven, July 31, 2018 – On August 31, the eCommerce experts from JTL-Software-GmbH will once again be hosting JTL Connect. Over the past three years, the company has established the original in-house trade fair as a permanent fixture in the ranks of online retail events. The event, which has grown every year in terms of both listings and visitor counters, will this time focus on product previews and software via live demonstrations together with main sponsor Amazon Pay. With numerous partners and solution providers on site, visitors will gain a comprehensive insight into the constantly growing world of German online business.

Technology for tomorrow

Previews of new releases of two core products are on the agenda at JTL Connect 2018. One of these is the upcoming version 1.4 of JTL-Wawi. The free ERP system forms the heart of the product cosmos and the new version brings new features, but above all a general overhaul of core features. The company from Hückelhoven has revised many elements with a view to user convenience and an even better all-round overview for users.

Even more exciting for many merchants will be the first insights into the already teased JTL-Shop 5 – a new major release from JTL. The software company has already reported in initial statements about a so-called OnPage Composer, which offers merchants many options for content management in the new JTL-Shop. Visitors to JTL Connect will be able to find out which other innovations will also be included in the new main version. In previous years, the keynote speech by Managing Director Thomas Lisson and individual presentations by software developers have always provided previews of new releases.

Some partners and exhibitors are also working on new solutions for e-commerce professionals. These include possible new integrations of JTL solutions with well-known marketplaces or new logistics services such as DHL parcel Prio. Particularly exciting: main sponsor Amazon Pay will be demonstrating the first possibilities for future voice commerce for smaller retailers.

Technology you can touch

To ensure that JTL Connect is not just about the future, the software company is also offering some of its solutions for hands-on experience. The main focus is on a large simulated warehouse for a live demonstration of JTL-WMS. Here, customers can experience how professional warehouse management can increase efficiency in their own warehouse and at the same time reduce the susceptibility to errors to almost zero.

Visitors can also put the shipping solutions JTL-Shipping and JTL-Packing Bench+ through their paces. The former is the interface connection to many of the large logistics companies in the DACH region, the latter a shipping solution that offers many of the functions of the JTL-WMS in a reduced form. Both are integral parts of JTL’s ERP, but significantly simplify many of the daily processes, especially for new online retailers.

In 2018, JTL Connect will also feature around 30 specialist presentations on all areas of the industry, from brand development to legal topics such as GDPR. The number of exhibitors from last year has increased to almost 80 this time. This means there will be plenty of opportunities to talk to solution and service providers about the further development of your own business.
