JTL-Connect: Developer speed dating and a wealth of expertise are on the agenda for 2017

JTL’s in-house trade show is growing and expanding its offerings

Hückelhoven, August 15, 2017 – On August 25, the e-commerce experts at JTL-Software-GmbH will host JTL-Connect 2017 – for the third time. Following the successful events of previous years, partners, customers, and industry professionals will once again gather in Düsseldorf this year. The agenda includes new e-commerce trends, tips and tricks for successful online retail, and the exchange of experiences. JTL itself will present the latest developments and future plans for the company on-site. Renowned partners, including main sponsor DHL, as well as PayPal, Amazon, eBay, Händlerbund, and many more, will be on-site as exhibitors and partners of the software company, providing information about their own innovations and products.

Hands-On Development

Once again this year, JTL-Software is offering special activities at its in-house exhibition. Due to the high turnout at developer discussions in previous years, visitors in 2017 will have the opportunity to meet JTL’s development managers and decision-makers during speed-dating sessions. These 15-minute appointments can be booked in advance via the event’s landing page. At the trade show, customers can then use this time slot to share suggestions, ask questions, and describe issues. Networking will also play a special role in the Mitsubishi Electric HALL exhibition area. The organizer has set aside a large lounge area specifically for this purpose, offering trade show guests and employees even more opportunities to connect.

Software in live operation

Back in 2016, the sample warehouse on the exhibition floor—which customers could control in real time using the JTL-WMS warehouse management system—was a big hit. JTL-Software is building on this success in 2017, once again giving visitors the chance to put the increased efficiency of a professional solution through its paces for themselves. The Hückelhoven-based company will also be showcasing its other products on-site, such as the free inventory management system JTL-Wawi and the online store software JTL-Shop.

Extensive program

With over 30 different expert presentations covering all levels of experience—from beginners to e-commerce veterans—a wealth of specialized knowledge is guaranteed. More than 50 exhibitors will also be on hand at their booths to provide information about their own services and solutions for aspiring online retailers. One of the dominant industry topics, fulfillment, is particularly in the spotlight. On the one hand, JTL Software itself is already working under the banner of the JTL Fulfillment Network to connect retailers with fulfillment service providers. On the other hand, exhibitors such as DHL Fulfillment are also highlighting it as a key success factor for European e-commerce.

“With the third JTL-Connect, we are moving closer to our goal of establishing the event as a well-established fixture and a must-attend for those interested in e-commerce. That’s why it’s important to us to address a broad spectrum of retailers—from newcomers to ‘old hands.’ Since our own software appeals to both beginners and professionals, we want to provide a forum for fundamental topics relevant to both groups,” explains Managing Director Thomas Lisson. “We value JTL-Connect just as much for the direct contact between partners and customers and our own employees. This allows both groups to inspire each other with new suggestions and ideas. Consequently, this enables us to continue placing the customer at the center of our development.”
