An online shop in just a few clicks: JTL-Software releases the JTL-Shop Community Free Edition as a hosting variant
Cost-effective hosting makes eCommerce possible with little effort
Hückelhoven, June 20, 2017 – If you want to run your own online store, you don’t always have to deal with complicated and lengthy setup or make high upfront investments. JTL-Software-GmbH is now offering a hosting option for the Community Free Edition of the JTL-Shop. The company is thus removing these two major hurdles for budding online retailers entering the world of eCommerce. But that’s not all: customers of the software provider can now also book the additional multi-shop and payment modules for the free JTL-Wawi ERP via a monthly subscription. Users will thus benefit from increased flexibility when using these solutions in future.
Software and hosting from a single source
The Community Free Edition of the JTL-Shop already formed the basis for a cost-effective entry into online business. Thanks to the free JTL-Wawi ERP and the associated JTL-Shop, which is limited to 500 items in the CFE, users have already been able to trade productively and cost-effectively. However, not everyone interested in eCommerce has the knowledge or time to deal with the details of setting up this software. To tap into this group of potential customers, JTL Software is expanding its listing. The hosting option minimizes the entry-level effort: there is no need to set up, purchase and maintain your own server. Instead, for a monthly fee of €14.99, users can place these services in the experienced hands of the Hückelhoven-based company’s hosting department.
Interested parties can book the hosting option for the JTL-Shop Community Free Edition via the JTL-Customer Centre. The online store software, 50 GB of web space, unlimited traffic, 50 email inboxes, three databases and high-performance Redis caching are automatically included in the hosting. JTL-Shop software takes care of setting up the hosting and any shop updates. If the desired domain is not documented, the creation of the online store including SSL certificate is fully automatic. This allows prospective online retailers to concentrate fully on their product range and the design of their store.
New options for JTL-Wawi users
In addition to the new hosting options, the eCommerce experts are now offering their customers further options. The Multishop and the recently released payment module for JTL-Wawi are available as subscriptions. The former allows the integration of any number of webshops into JTL-Wawi for one client. The new payment module, on the other hand, enables direct payment reconciliation with HBCI / FinTS accounts and PayPal accounts from the ERP. Both modules were previously only available as a 12-month license. However, merchants who want more flexibility for the organization of their additional modules can book the modules for a monthly price of €29.99 (Multishop) or €14.99 (payment reconciliation).
“In discussions with our customers and partners, we have found that fear of technical hurdles and high running costs have long deterred many people interested in eCommerce from getting into online business. Our new hosting listing is designed to dispel these concerns,” explains JTL Managing Director Janusch Lisson. “At the same time, the monthly subscription model is our response to customer requests to be able to tailor the usage period of additional modules for JTL-Wawi more precisely to their needs.”
