Senior UX/UI Designer (f/m/d)

Your tasks

We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer (f/m/d) who not only delivers high-quality design, but also actively shapes the quality and direction of our products. You will further develop existing design systems, introduce sound UX methods into our processes and support other designers in expanding their skills and increasing the overall design quality.

At JTL, AI-powered design is not optional – it’s our way of designing. UX/UI designers in our team actively use tools like Figma AI, AI prototyping or design assistants as part of their daily workflow.

What that means in practice:

• You use AI assistants and generative tools to speed up wireframing, prototyping, design exploration and asset creation – and know when to rely on your own design intuition.
• You are comfortable with AI-driven workflows: you give AI tools higher-level design prompts, critically review their output and iterate based on your design expertise.
• You remain curious about new AI-supported design approaches and actively experiment with integrating them into your process.

Your tasks

• You develop and scale design systems across multiple products (patterns, tokens, components).
• You actively apply UX methods such as user research, journey mapping and usability tests in product development.
• You structure complex or unclear problem spaces and derive clear UX strategies.
• You present and communicate design decisions confidently to teams and managers.
• You mentor junior and mid-level designers and help to improve the overall design quality.
• You drive iterative product improvements based on user feedback and data.

What you need to bring with you

• You have 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
• You are proficient in Figma and have experience with AI-supported design tools (e.g. Figma AI, Galileo, Midjourney, ChatGPT/Claude for UX texts or similar).
• You have extensive experience in B2B environments with complex, data-intensive Applications.
• You have a strong portfolio and proven experience in the delivery of real products.
• You have experience in the application of UX methods to support product decisions.
• You have proven experience in designing AI-powered functions, conversational user interfaces and integrating AI into product workflows.
• You have experience in the design of AI-driven workflows or the integration of Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into design processes.
• You can develop a design system independently across several products, not just consume it.
• You feel comfortable navigating unclear situations, structuring complex problems and working independently.
• You are fluent in English.
• You are open to regular business trips or ideally live near Berlin or Cologne.
