As a content manager, I have been involved in the online distribution of bespoke furniture since 2010. In 2016, I founded wohnsektion GmbH.
On recommendation, we immediately opted for JTL at the start. The fact that we also have a contact partner for this software here in Gummersbach, upstart-it, played a major role for us. When implementing the store, they provided us with a great tool in the form of a dynamic item configurator.
A configurator is indispensable for made-to-measure furniture
A made-to-measure product usually consists of various individual prices that add up. A table top, for example, is made up of area calculations per square meter, edge processing per running meter and surcharges for the respective surface processing. Combining all of this into one product was a bit tricky – but now everything fits.
Cautiously increase product range
As a young company, our initial aim is to further expand our product range. Tables, table tops and table frames continue to form the core range. However, cabinets, sideboards and sideboards will follow. We are also planning to implement a table configurator based on WebGL. Initial preparatory work has already begun.
Store software is always quite complex and JTL is no exception. With a little practice, however, everything can be learned quickly. Starting a new project with JTL? I don’t see a problem. When switching to JTL, I would definitely recommend a competent service partner. Just because of the URL structure and the redirects.
