JTL customer project

From: Thorsten Schlagwein / MaxRPM

I switched from my old osCommerce shop to JTL software in 2011. For my day-to-day business, this means simplification and time savings many times over.

I sold my first car parts in 2001 using a simple HTML form and switched to the osCommerce store in 2003. Due to the lack of merchandise management, the transfer of purchase data to accounting is very cumbersome and the time required increases with the number of orders. So I start looking for a better solution.

I compare different shop systems such as xt:Commerce, Gambio and also JTL-Shop, which was still completely unknown to me at the time. The systems do not differ greatly. What speaks in favor of JTL-Shop, however, is the seamless interaction with the JTL-Wawi merchandise management system.

Features like the big ones

With an initially self-made template, I get to work with JTL-Shop & JTL-Wawi. Suddenly I can do everything that the big players do: Warehouse and inventory management, central order processing, integration with DPD and much more. If it used to take me about 10 minutes to process an order and print out the shipping label, it now only takes a few seconds – that’s great!

Tenfold order volume and everything from a single source

The decisive factor for me is the combination of merchandise management and store. Virtually everything comes from a single source. Invoices, delivery bills, shipping labels, bulk import and export of items, supplier orders and much more. And last but not least, the figures speak for themselves: since 2011, orders via my JTL-Shop have increased tenfold.
