2006 we start in our children’s room with a Strato online store for workwear. 2008 we switch to JTL-Wawi and JTL-Shop.

With the switch to JTL, we specialize in guild clothing – and find our niche, in which we are very successful. When we completely filled the basement of our parents’ house with guild pants in 2010, we moved the warehouse to a neighboring town. In 2013, this space also became too small and we decided to buy our own storage space. No sooner said than done. At the end of 2013, we move to our current location, where we have 700 m² of warehouse and office space with further expansion potential.

Adaptability and help for self-help

We switched to JTL because we were looking for an ERP system to get away from Excel and Access. JTL-Wawi made a lot of things easier for us even back then. In addition, the JTL store is more customizable than most other store systems in this price range. The JTL forum also helped us a lot – especially in the early years – to solve our problems ourselves. To this day, we do 98% of everything ourselves and on our own.

Optimal user guidance

We currently have over 150 guild pants on offer. With this selection, it is particularly difficult to guide and advise customers so that they can find the right guild trousers for them. That is why we have invested a lot of time in categories and filters to offer them optimal click paths. In 2014, we integrated a 3-step checkout and also fundamentally redesigned our product pages.

Individualization and brand development

We believe that the individualization of our store and the development of a brand for the traditional craftsman were essential prerequisites for our success. The two are also closely linked – only through impressively positive experiences in the store is it possible to build a sustainably fruitful brand image.
In the future, we see video content as a very high priority for us. We will deploy our own video consultant with the aim of advising our customers as if our best salesperson were right there with them.

Finding your own way

We can definitely recommend JTL! The only piece of advice we would like to give to newcomers or those switching to JTL: Not everything is perfect. But if you take your time, it will get better to very good. Find someone who does the same processes and learn from their experience. Because we know that JTL is used by a lot of different people for a lot of different priorities – and there are one or two tricks everywhere.
