Garden design meets e-commerce. Dierk Werner and Mirko Klopfleisch met by chance in 2012. Five years later, they are delighted to have won the Shop Usability Award 2017 and an innovation prize in the field of e-commerce marketing.
The idea for a joint store project is quickly born. We realize early on that our skills complement each other perfectly. JTL was a recommendation from our service provider FBSC GmbH and the price-performance ratio, e.g. compared to a Magento solution, convinced us in the long term. In 2014, after careful planning, we went online with the JTL store. We were lucky enough to start completely from scratch with JTL and the mapping of the e-commerce processes still inspires us today.
Mobile optimization with change from Shop3 to JTL-Shop 4
Together with FBSC, now our service partner for store support, we completed the upgrade to JTL Shop 4 at the beginning of 2017. This was a milestone and we can now say that we are technologically state-of-the-art. We can finally focus our resources on gaining market leadership in our segment with innovative products and online services.
Expansion into other European countries
In 2017, we stocked more than 10,000 products in our online store for the first time. Our goals for the next three years are to increase this to 100,000 products and expand our business to Europe. It has become clear to us that the combination of JTL-Wawi and JTL-Shop is not only an exciting, free entry-level option. JTL also offers solutions for ambitious and growing e-commerce projects that allow you to use your resources very efficiently and successfully.
