Secure payment processing and practical features
As soon as a customer decides to use Amazon Pay, payment processing takes place exclusively between the customer and Amazon Pay. The payment method stored in Amazon cannot be recognized by the plugin. Technically, the plugin does not recognize any differences between different payment methods.

As a merchant, you have financial security if you collect the money immediately or ship the goods within 7 days, as Amazon Pay guarantees payment collection. It is still possible to receive payments beyond this time limit, but the Amazon Pay payment collection guarantee only applies to the 7-day period.
Further features of the Amazon Pay plugin:
- No transfer of product and shopping cart data: The plugin does not transmit any detailed information about the contents of the shopping cart to Amazon Pay. Only payment processing takes place and only the total of the shopping cart is transferred.
- Fraud protection from Amazon Pay: The payment method is irrelevant for the plugin itself. Amazon Pay checks which payment methods the customer is allowed to use on Amazon. This means that the customer’s creditworthiness does not have to be checked by the merchant, which generally reduces bad debt losses for online purchases. This eliminates the need for the merchant to check the customer’s creditworthiness, which reduces the risk of bad debts for online purchases.
- Optimized for mobile devices: The plugin is optimized for optimal use on mobile devices. Customers can conveniently access Amazon Pay and make payments via their smartphones or tablets.
- Digital goods: Amazon Pay can also be used to purchase digital goods. As these do not require physical shipping, the money should be collected immediately.
- Amazon A-to-Z Guarantee: Customers are protected by the Amazon A-to-Z Guarantee at no additional cost.
- Address data from Amazon can be transferred: The transfer of the address data of the billing and delivery address stored in the respective Amazon account can be optionally set in the plugin. Alternatively, the customer can also select Amazon Pay as the “normal” payment method and enter the billing and delivery address beforehand in the order process.
- Multiple country languages: The plugin also supports several foreign languages so that the plugin content can be translated into different national languages.
