JTL-Wawi Cloud: What is it?
Imagine you’re out and about and need to check a customer’s order history. Or you’re sitting on the couch after work and want to change the product data of an item. Where it was previously necessary to boot up your Windows PC for such work steps, with JTL-Wawi Cloud you can now work from anywhere and on any device. Whether with Android, MacOS, Windows or Linux computer: You are completely free to decide from where and with which operating system you want to access our software.
Simultaneous use across multiple workstations is also no problem with the new operating mode: you and your employees work on the same database at all times without having to integrate each user via a local network.
All this is made possible by a powerful RDP cloud server, which is hosted by our partner ecomDATA and is specially tailored to the requirements of JTL products.
How does the JTL-Wawi RDP Cloud Server work?
Your smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac establishes a connection to the external server hosted by ecomDATA via the Internet. Both your JTL-Wawi and the associated database are installed here. This means that any changes you make to your data are transferred to every device that accesses the cloud in near-real time, meaning that every employee is always working with the same database.
Flexibility and overview: with the new CloudAPP Launcher
Mobile working is made even more convenient by the new CloudAPP Launcher for JTL-Wawi, which is also offered by our partner ecomDATA:
With the CloudAPP Launcher, you do not have to access the ERP via the browser, but you start the Application with one click on the local desktop of your Mac or Windows PC. In the background, it accesses the ecomDATA cloud server on which your JTL software and database are stored. Your familiar JTL-Wawi working environment appears on the desktop and you can get started immediately without any complicated navigation.
As the CloudAPP Launcher also opens our software without an RDP frame, you gain an additional overview. At the same time, the CloudAPP Launcher allows simultaneous access from multiple devices, so that your employees can conveniently access all products on the go as soon as they have installed the application.
In the future, we plan for the CloudAPP Launcher to function like a small dashboard that you can use to access the JTL products you want to use. We are also planning to offer other solutions as a cloud version.
