Release JTL-Shop 4

The JTL-Shop 4 is here! As of today you can download our new JTL-Shop in the Customer Center. The new JTL-Shop is available in the hosting, standard, professional and enterprise versions. In addition, a free Community Free Edition is available for the first time. A help page to assist you with the setup and integration of this edition with JTL-Wawi can be found at:

If you would like to take a closer look at our new shop system in advance, please visit our JTL-Shop demo shop at https://demo.jtl-shop.de/. You can also actively test the JTL-Shop: At https://www.jtl-software.com/de/kontakt you will receive a test shop hosted by us for 30 days. This test shop is not limited in the number of items and has all the features of our new JTL-Shop.

Reach mobile users with the new EVO template

A highlight of JTL-Shop 4 is the EVO template, because it opens up a new, constantly growing target group: mobile users. EVO is responsive on all devices. So it doesn’t matter whether a visitor visits your store via smartphone, tablet or desktop PC. The store display adapts to the device and ensures a consistently convenient shopping experience.

If you would like to develop your own template, we recommend that you use the EVO child template supplied. In the JTL-Shop documentation at https://docs.jtl-shop.de/ you can read how to make the appropriate adjustments to the template.

The development of the EVO template has not yet been finalized. Just like the Shop3 Tiny template, we will continue to develop and optimize the EVO template. So please send us your input on the EVO template! As always, we are open to your suggestions for improvement!

Innovations in the integration of TrustedShops

Changes have been made to the buyer protection models: TrustedShops Classic is no longer integrated in the new JTL-Shop and will be replaced by the plugin available from TrustedShops. You can find the instructions and the download link at http://www.trustedshops.de/shopbetreiber/integration/shopsoftware-integration/jtl/.
This does not affect the TrustedShops Excellence buyer protection model: this variant is still included in the JTL-Shop.

Upgrading from the Community Free to the Standard Edition

Shop operators who want to upgrade from the JTL-Shop Community Free to the Standard Edition only need to change the license key in JTL-Wawi. All other settings will be adopted.

Price information for upgrades from JTL-Shop3

As many of you will or want to upgrade, we will inform you below about the exact price structures and time periods that you need to consider.
We are offering you special conditions until 15.01.2016 – as well as to all customers who purchased their Shop3 license on or after 15.08.2015. The following list gives you an overview:

I have the following license and would like to upgrade to a JTL-Shop 4 Standard Edition:

JTL-Shop3 with subscription and purchase date less than or equal to 15.08.2015
Price: 0 Euro + no renewal of the current subscription

JTL-Shop3 with subscription and purchase date older than 15.08.2015
Price: 249 Euro + credit of the remaining subscription + 1 year new subscription

JTL-Shop3 without subscription and purchase date older than 15.08.2015
Special price: 375 EUR + 1 year new subscription (valid until 15.01.2016!)
thereafter: 499 EUR + 1 year new subscription (from 16.01.2016!)

For new JTL customers or customers with JTL-Shop 1 or 2, the license for the JTL-Shop 4 Standard Edition including one year subscription costs 499,- EUR.

New forum areas for the JTL-Shop

A new JTL forum area is now available for the new JTL-Shop at http://forum.jtl-software.de/jtl-shop/. Please use this forum from now on to get rid of your questions and suggestions about JTL-Shop 4. The previous support forum for Shop3 can now be found there as a corresponding sub-forum.
