Attention JTL-eazyAuction users: In the coming weeks, probably on the evening of November 5th, we will be carrying out maintenance work on our marketplace interface. In order to make our servers even more efficient for the upcoming Christmas business, we will unfortunately have to accept a short downtime of the system. We will explain what this means for you and what you should do to prepare.
Reason for the downtime
Since the Christmas season ensures a massive utilization of our infrastructure every year, it is important to upgrade our capacities in connection with our customer growth. For this reason, we are moving the current Amazon servers to new hardware – with the aim of creating an even more robust and powerful basis for JTL-eazyAuction. This will also be accompanied by new security updates to make our solution as future-proof and scalable as possible.
What you need to consider before, during and after the changeover
As with all major updates and extensive maintenance work, it is important to make certain preparations. This is the best way to avoid any complications for your customers.
The listings you have posted on Amazon will not be affected by the maintenance work.
After the downtime, please carry out the following steps:
Report possible errors
Should you experience any problems using JTL-eazyAuction after the maintenance work, please create a support ticket in the Customer Center. Please provide us with a specific error description and screenshots so that we can reproduce and correct the error.
Status of the downtime
We will keep you up to date about the downtime via the JTL forum and our Facebook page. A separate forum thread on the topic will inform you about all the important steps and the expected duration of the downtime. Please take the above precautions to heart to minimize the possible impact on your business during the downtime.
If you have any questions, please contact us at info@jtl-software.com at any time.

On Mondays, online retailers process and ship their orders from the weekend. We are therefore deliberately starting our maintenance work in the evening. That way you can process your orders beforehand.
We are planning a downtime of approx. 6 hours. During this downtime, we gradually migrate our customers to the new system. Depending on the progress of the migration, the downtime may be longer or shorter.
Our recommendation is a precautionary measure in the event of unexpected delays. By changing the handling time, you can ensure that any delays do not cause a delay in delivery or affect your ranking.
You only need to restart the server or computer via which the Amazon synchronization is started or via which the JTL-Worker runs.
At the end of the maintenance work, you should first start a manual Amazon comparison. This is because the manual comparison will immediately show you any error messages. This gives you the opportunity to contact our support team directly. If you start directly with the JTL-Worker, error messages will be “discarded” during the synchronization.
The eBay interface is not affected by the maintenance work on November 5. The eBay synchronization can continue to run normally.
