Why have we launched our new tax consultant network?
From daily conversations with our customers, we know that there are always problems in the area of tax advice: retailers in particular who operate internationally or sell a lot of goods through different channels tell us about regular complaints from the tax office – even though their tax return was prepared by a tax consultant.
Unfortunately, while many tax consulting firms can cover the “standard cases” in online business, they lack the specialist knowledge for complex areas such as cross-border trade, FBA or pan-EU shipping.
This is exactly where our tax consultant network comes in: On the one hand, we want to make it easier for you to find a suitable tax consultant and, on the other hand, give you the certainty that the firms listed in the network have the necessary specialist knowledge to avoid complaints from the tax office at a later date. And thus save you time and money!
How does the tax consultant network work?
You can now find our new tax consultant network on our website under the “Partners” tab. It is structured in the same way as the service partner search: you can use various search parameters to filter exactly which requirements your tax advisor should fulfill.
If regional proximity is important to you, filter by zip code. Or you can search for special data formats that the firm should process. By selecting an area of expertise or specialization, for example, you can immediately see whether the respective tax consultant is a good fit for you, your business and its individual requirements.
You then determine the terms of the collaboration personally with our tax consultant partners via a contract.
How do we ensure quality in our network of tax consultants?
In the course of designing our new tax consultant network, we selected appropriate law firms with a proven specialization in eCommerce. On the one hand, we paid attention to their reputation (documented by certifications or awards). On the other hand, it was important to us to include law firms of different sizes in order to offer you more choice. This is because the consulting services, scope and area of expertise vary greatly depending on the tax consultant.
After extensive onboarding interviews, our network candidates must also complete online-based training in JTL-Wawi to ensure that they can correctly select and process the data you need for a tax return.
Is the tax consultant network free of charge?
For you as a retailer, the use of our network is completely free of charge.
Participating tax advisors pay us a monthly fee to be listed with their own profile. As a partner, you also benefit from links within the JTL world, targeted SEO measures and direct referrals to the directory by our support and sales team.
Tax consultants can also use our network 100% free of charge until May 31, 2022. So if you decide to list early, you can look forward to up to 12 months of commission-free use!
