I’m sure some of you have been eagerly awaiting the release of JTL-Wawi 1.2. Good news: The new version of our ERP is already available for download. And we can reveal one thing: With the scope of new features and upgrades, it is certainly worthwhile for every retailer. If you would like to find out more about many of the features using our developer diaries, you can find a brief overview below. All other resources for JTL-Wawi 1.2 are also briefly presented here.
Developer diaries
Below you will find a short summary of the respective developer diary with a link to the original post:
Customized prices
The crossover project between the JTL-Wawi and JTL-Shop development teams arose from a popular request on our feedback page – customer-specific prices. With them, we give online merchants the option of assigning individual prices per customer to each item. Individual graduated prices are also possible. This allows the retailer to maintain customer loyalty via customized pricing or react to special customer requests and agreements.

Direct payment reconciliation
With direct payment reconciliation, we enable merchants to connect their HBCI accounts and PayPal accounts directly to the new Payments section in JTL-Wawi and reconcile them as often as they like. In addition, merchants can receive and send payments directly in JTL-Wawi. This also provides an up-to-date insight into their own finances within ERP at any time. The new function also offers advantages for buyers: they benefit from directly transferred refunds or faster shipping due to prompt receipt of payment.

Stock reservation after receipt of order

Another new feature is that retailers can ship their stock according to the “First In – First Out” (FIFO) principle. This is because our new form of reserving stock ensures that the customer who ordered first is also supplied first – regardless of whether payment has been received. This new form of stock reservation is particularly attractive for retailers who work a lot with oversales. We have deliberately integrated it as an option in JTL-Wawi: Merchants who run their business strictly according to the “first to pay, first to receive” rule can do so unchanged.
New item management
Item management, for some the heart of our ERP system, has undergone a thorough overhaul in version 1.2. Our developers focused on optimizing the usability of item management and its filter functions. After all, these are a popular and powerful tool in the JTL-Wawi repertoire. In future, you will be able to create filters with just a few clicks, save them and call them up and use them again later.

Marketplace management 2.0
Marketplace management 2.0 is not a complete overhaul of the solution. Rather, we have subjected the mechanics under the hood to a massive tuning. This is because very large volumes of listings, for example, have a strong impact on the speed of creation of listings and management. Many customers therefore wanted a system that would allow them to maintain their listings quickly and agilely when dealing with large quantities of listings. This is exactly what we have implemented in JTL-Wawi 1.2.
Amazon Business
Amazon has launched its new Amazon Business seller program in Germany. The marketplace now offers participants access to sales tools that are specifically geared towards business customers. With version 1.2, Amazon Business can be conveniently integrated into our ERP system. For you, this means that in future you will be able to offer your goods on Amazon specifically at B2B level.

More innovations
The new version of JTL-Wawi offers even more than the functions mentioned above. Another highlight is the new shipping options via JTL-Shipping. We have compiled many other smaller changes for you in other places, which we also list below.
JTL-Shipping (DE)
With JTL-Wawi 1.2, a lot is also happening when it comes to shipping via the ERP. Customers who use JTL-Shipping will be pleased with the integration of DHL Shipping 2.0, which offers users a wealth of benefits: more speed, more functions, age verification, bidder returns, preferred day and time and the Ident-Check. In addition, an error label can now be issued when errors occur during label creation, indicating problems with the customer’s address.

JTL-Wawi 1.2 also lays the foundations for tracking DHL, Hermes and DPD parcels using ERP and JTL-Shipping. The function itself will only be included in the next version of JTL-Wawi, but is entering the pilot phase with the current release.
