Our shipping service provider interface JTL-Shipping has been upgraded: Numerous new features have been added! With Warenpost, branch routing and personalized labels, you can now ship your goods even more cheaply, flexibly and individually. And increase customer satisfaction and loyalty at the same time.
In the following blog post, we will introduce you to merchandise post, store routing and personalized labels in more detail and show you how to set them up in JTL-Wawi.
Our partnership with DHL is your advantage
We have maintained an intensive partnership with DHL for many years, which has now achieved the status of “Premium Partner”. This ensures that JTL customers are always among the first to be able to use new products and features from DHL via JTL-Shipping. For example, Warenpost, which will be available to you in JTL-Shipping from July 01, 2020!
Thanks to the close cooperation with DHL during development, we can also provide you with a particularly high quality of technical integration. Our support team also works closely with our partner to provide you with even better support in the event of questions or problems.
Merchandise mail
Most of you have probably used the classic DHL parcel for shipping your goods so far. This is because this shipping option offers many advantages, including shipment tracking, liability up to 500 euros and optional services.

From July 1, 2020, however, a new service will be available in JTL-Shipping that should be of interest to all those who mainly ship small-format and inexpensive items. We are talking about Warenpost, a Deutsche Post product that our partner has completely revised and redesigned:
The “old” Warenpost was previously bookable via Internetmarke (Internet postage). Now you can order the service via the DHL Welt you are familiar with, but delivery is then carried out by Deutsche Post. The advantage: small-format items can also be delivered easily via the letterbox without having to be accepted, as is the case with parcels.
And these are the Warenpost services at a glance:

All new Warenpost services are supported by JTL, so that you can activate them directly in the JTL Extension Store via the DHL Wunschpaket extension or in JTL-Wawi – as in the case of Wunschnachbar/Wunschort, for example. We will show you how this works in detail later.
Another new feature of Warenpost: Deutsche Post delivery staff are also equipped with a scanner to digitally document the delivery. This means that all scan events are visible to you in JTL-Shipping and you always have an overview of your shipments.
The advantages of the new Warenpost are therefore obvious:

DHL store routing
Another DHL feature that is now available in JTL-Shipping is the so-called store routing. This bookable service helps you to keep your return rate low or avoid returns altogether – and thus save time and money.

And this is how DHL store routing works:
If your shipment cannot be delivered because the recipient cannot be found at the address given, it will normally be returned to you. This causes unnecessary effort and unnecessary costs. With DHL’s branch routing service, your shipment gets a second chance to reach the recipient after all: Instead of sending it back to you directly, DHL delivers it to the nearest store with a parcel drop-off point. Your customer will be informed by email and can pick up their goods there for seven working days.

DHL Personalized Labels
The latest major innovation in JTL-Shipping concerns your options for custom branding shipments: Especially if you are new to online business, cardboard boxes with a company logo are usually too expensive. DHL’s personalized labels offer you a much more cost-effective alternative.

With this option, you can add your company logo to the shipping labels so that customers can see at first glance who the shipment is from.
