The wait is (almost) over: After numerous feature requests and hours of development, we are delighted to announce the release date of the stable version of JTL-Wawi 1.6! We also reveal what you can expect in the extensive webinar topic weeks on JTL-Wawi 1.6 immediately after the release. Last but not least, we take a look at what experiences our Open Beta users have had with the new version. Let’s go!
First things first: The stable version of JTL-Wawi 1.6 will be released on May 18, 2022!
Diligent JTL blog readers and members of the JTL forum have probably already learned a lot about the new features of JTL-Wawi 1.6. Our product owner Manuel Pietzsch has also already shown fans of our YouTube channel some of the new functions and features. If you would like to refresh your knowledge before May 18, we recommend the exclusive playlist for JTL-Wawi 1.6.
As many possibilities as JTL-Wawi 1.6 offers, we are aware that software updates take some preparation time. That’s why it’s important to us to provide you with the best possible support during the changeover! In addition to the information that we have published in the last few months as part of the Open Beta version, we are therefore launching two extensive webinar topic weeks on JTL-Wawi 1.6 for the stable release.

Everything you need to know: Webinar weeks around JTL-Wawi 1.6
As usual, the stable version of JTL-Wawi 1.6 will be available to you free of charge on our JTL-Wawi download page from May 18, 2022. Two days later, on May 20, 2022, the webinar topic weeks will start around the latest version of our ERP. In a total of eight virtual events, we will teach you step by step the most important things about the setup, handling and functions of JTL-Wawi 1.6. Each webinar concludes with a Q&A session.
The complete program
JTL-Wawi 1.6 awaits you. So that you can update to the new version quickly, safely and smoothly, Product Owner Manuel Pietzsch answers the most pressing questions at the start of the webinar theme week: What preparations do you need to make? What are the first and most important to-dos? How long will the update take and how do I react if a problem does occur? After this warm-up, you will be well prepared for your switch to JTL-Wawi 1.6.
JTL-Wawi 1.6 comes with over 40 new functions. It’s easy to lose your bearings. To prevent this from happening to you, Manuel Pietzsch presents all the new features one after the other in this webinar and explains how they will affect your future day-to-day business. 40 functions in 60 minutes? Anyone who knows Manuel knows that’s possible! And of course there will be time for your questions.
Sales is one of the core areas of your ERP system. That’s why we have added numerous practical functions and customization options to it in JTL-Wawi 1.6 and optimized the overall handling. Developer Markus Hütz will guide you step by step through the new subscriptions and order details 2.0. There will also be a strong focus on the topic of invoices: You’ll learn how to create partial invoices, how to fix invoices or how to change them in accordance with the law.
Item management in JTL-Wawi is the heart of your retail business. The maintenance of your products should be correspondingly efficient and user-friendly. JTL veteran Michael Spaltmann from our support team knows your needs very well and explains in this webinar what new possibilities JTL-Wawi 1.6 has in store for you – for example when creating variation combinations, your own list views and when using labels for product maintenance.
With the conditional formatting in JTL-Wawi 1.6, you can highlight numbers and transactions according to your requirements. You not only have the entire color spectrum at your disposal, but also numerous symbols and fonts. Mike Teschke demonstrates how to use conditional formatting in practice and what you should pay attention to when defining the conditions.
You can also expect a whole range of new options in the area of purchasing. In this webinar, Paul Reynolds will guide you through the new purchase order proposals. He will show you how to determine your minimum and maximum stock levels per warehouse and what has changed with JTL-Wawi 1.6 in the purchase lists.
In order to reach the largest possible customer groups in eCommerce, listings on large online marketplaces are essential. As of JTL-Wawi 1.6, you can use the integrated interface to serve other high-reach marketplaces such as Otto and Kaufland.de in addition to Amazon and eBay. In this webinar, Dominic Nelle, the Product Owner of our marketplace connection, will tell you first-hand how this works and what else you should know about the new JTL-Wawi “Platforms” area.
Bring your questions! YouTube live event for the stable release
The webinar theme weeks will culminate in a YouTube live event on June 3, 2022 at 1 pm. Manuel will be there to answer your questions. So you are asked to actively help shape the event! To take part in the YouTube live event, all you have to do is go to our YouTube channel on the date mentioned. There you will find a red “Live” button. If you just want to watch the livestream, you don’t need to register. However, you will need a Google account to join in the discussion. We look forward to a lively exchange!
Put through its paces: Open beta tester about JTL-Wawi 1.6
Since we released the open beta version of JTL-Wawi 1.6 last November, we can already draw on the practical experience of over 1,000 open beta testers and pilot customers. J+A Handels GmbH is one of them. The ten-strong specialist company has been selling motorcycle accessories for almost two decades. Part of its turnover is generated via online brand stores such as stompgrip.de, pipercross.de and helite.de. In total, the team handles around 300-400 items per day in a warehouse area of 800 square meters and uses JTL-Wawi in conjunction with JTL-Shop and JTL-WMS.
David Meusel, IT representative at J+A Handel, appreciates that with JTL’s solutions he can use a complete system in which merchandise management software, store system and warehouse management come from a single source and are optimally coordinated.
For us, the customer-specific category discounts are one of the highlights of the new features in JTL-Wawi 1.6.
The main motivation for J+A Handel to switch to JTL-Wawi 1.6 was the ability to grant customer-specific category discounts. If the respective discount is entered in the customer data record in JTL-Wawi 1.6, it automatically appears in the newly created sales order, for example. “This function allows us to fully automate our B2B business processes, which we manage via the b2b.ja-handel.de portal,” says David.
David also likes the new customization options, such as the ‘conditional formatting’ for highlighting certain trends in order quantities or purchase prices. He also finds the feature of defining custom fields in listings and sales orders useful: “Because we offer very special products, it’s good that we can now cover all our cases in ERP. That saves a lot of time.” The company is already successfully using the open beta version of JTL-Wawi 1.6 in its productive day-to-day business and feels it is in good hands thanks to the reliable support.
