JTL-IssueTracker im neuen Design

News: JTL-IssueTracker in a new design & My Youtube channel is moving

“Community-driven development” is not just a phrase at JTL, but a lived practice: We maintain a regular exchange with you on current projects and concepts via the JTL forum, the social media channels and our events. You can also use the JTL-IssueTracker to actively influence our development. We have now extensively revised this tool to make it easier to use. In addition, there is now a new information platform for JTL development: My previous YouTube channel is moving to the large JTL YouTube channel today – and I will also provide you with regular insights into my work here.

Quite a lot of news, isn’t it? Good, let’s start from the beginning:

What is the JTL-IssueTracker?

The JTL-IssueTracker is a publicly accessible ticket system in which we record our ideas and activities in the form of tickets. These include not only finished concepts, but above all impulses for our work that are brought to us by you, our community.

Each ticket in the JTL-IssueTracker can be assigned to a specific topic and is clearly identified by a special ticket ID. This allows you to search for specific areas that interest you and see live how we fix bugs or implement your ideas.

How to use the JTL-IssueTracker

With the JTL-IssueTracker, the focus is not on passive observation, but on your active participation: Using the integrated comment function, you can leave us your opinion at any time. In addition, you can vote for a ticket with a simple click, which increases its priority for us and we try to implement it even faster.

All tickets, comments and votes in the JTL-IssueTracker are publicly visible without login. To be able to use the active functions of our tool, however, you need your access data for the JTL-Customer Centre, with which you can log in and start voting and discussing immediately.

Why the JTL-IssueTracker is so important for us

With its comment and vote functions, the JTL-IssueTracker is a kind of extension of the JTL forum for us, in which lively discussion and direct exchange are cultivated above all. Our ticket system, on the other hand, is all about implementing the ideas that we have discussed in the JTL forum. So here you can have a very concrete influence on our development work.

And this is exactly what makes the JTL-IssueTracker so important: Thanks to your input, we have already received many great ideas for new functions in the past, which we have then integrated into our products. In this way, we develop software exactly the way you need it!

The new features in the JTL-IssueTracker

With the JTL-IssueTracker you can view and comment on tickets for all JTL products.

Dependencies to other tickets are now displayed in the open tickets themselves – also to give you a better overview. For example, you can see at a glance whether there are thematic dependencies to another ticket or whether the Finish is being blocked by another ticket.

My YouTube channel is moving

The second announcement I would like to make today is directly related to the new features in the JTL-IssueTracker. In addition to our public ticket system, you now have another channel through which you can monitor our development:

I am pleased to announce that my JTL-Wawi videos are now part of the official JTL-Youtube channel. In addition to the functions of current versions, I will also be presenting exclusive previews and ideas that we are currently working on in development.

In future, I will briefly film the concepts of new projects and make them available to you via YouTube. This way, you’ll always be up to date on what’s going on in JTL development and can give direct feedback on what’s being shown via the JTL forum or the JTL-IssueTracker.

But that’s enough reading! Now it’s time to watch: Have fun with my first official video for the JTL-Youtube channel, in which I introduce you to all the new features of the JTL-IssueTracker in detail.

You don’t want to miss any of my videos in the future? Then subscribe to the YouTube channel and stay up to date with all the latest news:
