The JTL Extension Store offers you as a buyer, but also the sellers who sell there, many exciting possibilities. In today’s blog post, we would like to take a look at what these are, how you can use our new platform and what new features have emerged since the release.
What is the JTL-Extension Store?
Together with the release of JTL-Shop 5, the JTL-Extension Store also opened its doors for you. Since that day, this new platform has been the central point of contact for you to purchase all extensions for JTL-Shop, JTL-Wawi and other JTL products. Since its release, the JTL-Extension Store has replaced the marketplace in the JTL-Store. In the latter you can only buy JTL products and the hardware for our POS software JTL-POS.
What can I buy in the JTL-Store?
In the JTL-Extension Store you will find digital products to extend the JTL software: for example shop plugins, templates, template sets for JTL-Wawi, interfaces to marketplaces or other relevant systems or SaaS solutions. On the other hand, services are available on our platform that are related to the extensions listed – e.g. installation and setup services or template customizations. However, pure services such as a migration service or support credits cannot be purchased via the JTL Extension Store.
Advantages of the JTL-Extension Store
Why did we choose the JTL-Store as our new, central platform? There are many good reasons for this:
Simplified checkout
The JTL-Extension Store is permanently connected to JTL-Shop 5. Your extensions purchased there can either be downloaded in the customer center after checkout or appear immediately in the back end of your store. They can be installed there with just a few clicks. This saves you the detour via external partner sites or manual data upload via FTP.
Enlarged listing
In addition, the JTL Extension Store offers you an even larger listing of extensions. Not only partners can sell their products and services here, but also other service providers who offer exciting extensions for our products.
Independence from release cycles
In the JTL-Extension Store you will now also find extensions for JTL products for which updates are important. Previously, the license updates of such extensions were tied to the JTL-Shop version. Thanks to the integration into the JTL Extension Store, such JTL extensions can now also be updated independently of the respective store version.
Tested quality
Every seller undergoes a thorough check and qualification process before being listed in the JTL Extension Store. Only those who successfully pass the onboarding can offer extensions in the future.
Direct Contact
With the JTL Extension Store, we provide you with a practical platform for purchasing your extensions. However, all communication then takes place directly via the seller: contact your service providers in the event of support or updates with just a few clicks. Invoicing also takes place directly via your seller.
Central administration
The JTL Extension Store eliminates the need for accounts and logins on external sites. You use our platform as a central point of contact for the entire administration of all your extensions. Another plus: As soon as licenses and subscriptions expire, you will receive automatic notifications via email and can extend them with just a few clicks in the JTL-Customer Centre.
The biggest innovations since release
A lot has happened since the launch of the JTL Extension Store! One new feature is the new cancellation process, which allows you to cancel already purchased extensions via the seller, but also directly via your PayPal account in the “Report a problem” section. Costs and fees will then be refunded to you after a brief check.
On the other hand, many partners and service providers have listed their products and services with us in recent months. You can now find around 300 extensions from more than 60 sellers that will help you to systematically expand and professionalize your online business.

Mollie plugin
Mollie is your JTL-Shop plugin for all payment methods from a single source. No basic fee, no contract period, ready to use in no time. With great features such as single checkout, pay again or payment reminders, you are ready for customers from all over Europe.
Google Analytics
With the Google Codes plugin from NETZdinge.de you can analyze the behavior of your visitors from the first visit to the purchase and measure your Google Shopping or Google Ads advertising success in compliance with data protection regulations. You can integrate the Google Tag Manager or simply carry out A/B tests with Google Optimize.
JTL Speed Optimizer
Get your shop going with the JTL Speed Optimizer: Slow loading is a thing of the past – fast pages are possible today with the performance plugin specially tailored to JTL-Shop. All critical areas of necessary additional resources such as CSS and JavaScript are delivered optimized and images are reloaded – for templates that already reload images, additional images such as from plugins and the OPC are also reloaded – as well as prefetching and preloading of resources is applied on request and the output source code of the page is optimized.
Workeralarm for JTL-Wawi
No system is error-free. It can also happen that a user closes the JTL-Wawi Worker, but there are system updates or server restarts, which can cause a variety of problems. To prevent this, wnm® has developed the WorkerAlarm plugin, which protects you from failures by reporting them within a few seconds via email, SMS or Telegram.
