JTL-Wawi 1.4
The focus of JTL-Wawi 1.4 is on three important core topics of online business: customer overview, warehouse management and shipping.
The latest version of our ERP system makes customer communication even more convenient: thanks to the new customer widget, you can undock relevant customer data to a second monitor and continue working in other JTL-Wawi dialogs at the same time. This gives you quick access to important data – even when talking to customers.
A lot has also happened in the warehouse and shipping areas: JTL-WMS now also includes a scale connection, the mobile app has been released for various operating systems and with JTL-Track&Trace, our in-house shipment tracking for DHL is in the starting blocks. In addition, during the release candidate phase of JTL-Wawi 1.4, we have once again significantly improved the performance of the ERP.
Customer 2.0
In JTL-Wawi 1.4, we have fundamentally revised the customer overview and customer details – with the aim of increasing practical relevance and usability. The changes provide merchants with a comprehensive overview of important key figures, data and information on the respective customer in a direct conversation.
Work quickly and conveniently thanks to the undockable widget
The new customer widget can be undocked and displayed on a second monitor. This allows retailers to call up relevant information on customers in parallel to any ERP interface. The working speed increases significantly, as many customer-related processes can be started directly from the widget. Only working with one monitor? No problem! The widget can be resized and flexibly folded in and out in each section.

All important customer data at a glance
The customer history shows the customer’s last relevant actions in chronological order. The 360-degree view enables a better assessment of the customer and their purchasing behavior through key figures. Quick access tabs allow invoices, sales orders and packages to be called up with a single click.
With JTL-Wawi 1.4, retailers will therefore have the best possible conditions for talking to customers in future. Whether there are questions about the last order or the retailer wants to sell more specifically to individual customers – Customer 2.0 massively optimizes this process.
Optimized document templates
JTL-Wawi 1.4 contains numerous improvements for the use of the most important business documents such as invoices, delivery bills and more. With the further development of our standard templates and the output module, we offer more options for designing and editing these documents.
A wide variety of documents can be created and easily assembled using the module library. Using the new variable tree, retailers have the option of customizing parts of their documents globally.
A new look for the standard templates
The new standard templates were created by our in-house design team and give your customers a modern, high-quality impression. Within a template, you can choose from predefined color schemes or create your own design scheme. This makes it very easy to adapt the standard templates to your corporate identity.

Amazon offer mapping
The new Amazon listing mapping allows sellers to link their Amazon listings and master items in a completely variable way. Many sales and delivery scenarios that were previously only possible with a workaround can now be mapped flawlessly in JTL-Wawi. The revised logic now ensures corrected statistics and purchase order proposals.
Switch two listings to one ASIN (Amazon)
As of JTL-Wawi 1.4, you can manage SKUs and SKUs separately. This allows you to link several listings of a master item with a product detail page from Amazon, i.e. an ASIN (Amazon). You can create and delete the links between items and SKUs as you wish. Workarounds, such as the duplicate creation of master articles, are no longer necessary.
List the same master item on different ASINs
More flexibility for multiple listings: With the new version of our ERP, you can assign any number of Amazon listings to a master item. Both listings with own shipping and listings with shipping by Amazon can be mapped with the new logic – on different ASINs and on the same ASIN (Amazon). Existing multiple listings are automatically migrated to the new logic during the update.

Further advantages of the new offer mapping
The new offer mapping works without duplicate items. As a result, you receive clean statistics and purchase order proposals in JTL-Wawi even with multiple listings of FBA offers. A new algorithm also ensures intelligent, even stock reduction across all listings: for multi-channel orders that are delivered via FBA, the algorithm determines which FBA stocks are ideally used.
Easy changeover with different SKUs and SKU numbers
The new option of allowing SKUs and SKUs to differ from each other makes it easier for retailers who want to switch to JTL-Wawi. After importing your listings, you can assign them to the appropriate master items. This gives you tidy SKU numbers, even if you want to leave the SKUs unchanged on Amazon.
Further informationNew info bar in the dashboard

How can we provide our customers with the best possible information? A question that has become more difficult since the GDPR, not only for you as a retailer, but also for us as a company. With the new info bar, we want to reach our customers with the latest information from JTL. And where merchants really are – in JTL-Wawi.
Current tips, instructions and more
From JTL-Wawi 1.4 onwards, you will usually receive new information there on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We will publish current information on maintenance work, updates etc. in the info bar, link helpful articles from the JTL-Guide or video tutorials or point out current events such as regulars’ tables, webinars etc.
Info bar as a supplement to newsletter, forum & co.
Time and again we receive feedback that customers were not informed about maintenance work, changes or new functions. This is because it is often the case that our newsletters only go to the owner of an online business – because only they are registered in the JTL-Customer Centre. Meanwhile, the retailer’s employees miss out on information and recommendations for action that would be important for their areas of work.
In some cases, the customer account is also managed directly by the retailer’s service partner. If the service partner has not stored their customer as an additional Contact in the customer account, our newsletters are only received by the partner, but not by the retailer concerned.
To close this information gap and reliably reach all JTL-Wawi users, we have integrated the info bar into the ERP dashboard.
We recommend that you take a quick look at the info list every day and also check whether you are logged in to our newsletter channels. Then you will always be provided with all the important information.
Scale connection
We have added a scale connection to JTL-WMS and JTL-Packing Bench+. The first types of scales are integrated via a direct interface from JTL-Wawi 1.4. Many scales from the manufacturers KERN, PCE, RHEWA, ADE, Bizerba, Soehnle, Dymo, PCE, etc. can already be integrated.

Package weight traceable at all times
Warehouse employees can track the current weight of a parcel directly in the dialogue box during packing. At the end of the packing process, they add the total weight to the parcel’s data record with a single click. The advantage: office staff can track the weight of a parcel at any time, even after delivery. Costly recalculations due to inappropriate shipping labels are avoided.
Transparent billing for Prime and fulfillment
The feature is particularly useful for participants in Amazon’s “Prime by Seller” program, as this can result in high additional charges. Participants in our JTL-Fulfillment Network will also be able to bill their fulfillment service providers much more easily thanks to the weight measurement.
Warehouse and shipping expansions
Numerous improvements allow you to work even more smoothly with our warehouse management system JTL-WMS from JTL-Wawi 1.4 onwards.
Manual workflows for JTL-Workflows and JTL-Packing Bench+
As of JTL-Workflows 1.4, you can also use manual workflows in the warehouse. This is because we have integrated these predefined, automated workflows into JTL-WMS, JTL-Packing Bench+ and the new mobile app. Simply define the if-then rule in ERP and activate the workflow for warehouse management and packing table. Your warehouse employee starts the workflow by clicking on the workflow icon in the program. Typical workflows are, for example, “reprint bar code”, “create item label” or “send information to boss”.
Create supplier orders in goods receipt
Many retailers order over the phone or accept spontaneous listings at trade fairs – without any concrete information about the contents of the delivery. As of JTL-Wawi 1.4, you can directly carry out the free goods receipt in the warehouse when the goods arrive. It is no longer necessary to create a supplier order beforehand. Once the goods receipt has been completed, the supplier order is automatically created in JTL-Wawi and can be found in the Purchasing area under the completed orders.

Optimum partial delivery with shipping boxes & rolling order preparation
For partial deliveries, retailers want to be able to decide whether to split a sales order or keep it together, how delivery bills should be designed and whether the customer should be invoiced in between or only after the last partial delivery. This was previously reserved for the “EazyShipping” and “Mobile packing table” (now: Pick&Pack) processes. With JTL-Wawi 1.4, it is also possible in the “Shipping boxes” and “Rolling order preparation” processes.
Work faster with tooltips & signals
We have added new message sounds to the acoustic signals in JTL-WMS. This allows warehouse employees to clearly distinguish between success messages, error messages and notifications and react accordingly. We have also revised the configuration dialog for warehouse management. Retailers now receive standardized option descriptions with explanatory tooltips.
Faster inventory with large amounts of data
Do you have a lot of items or high quantities? And inbound posting during inventory was slow? That should be a thing of the past! We were able to significantly improve performance when processing large amounts of data during the inventory.
The new mobile app
JTL-WMS Mobile is now available as a native app for the Android, iOS and Windows Universal Platform (UWP) operating systems. The app’s new technology enables the simultaneous delivery of new features and bug fixes for multiple operating systems. The mobile server has also been redeveloped so that users can now start it both as a single application and as a Windows system service. In future, any number of servers – for different company locations, for example – can be integrated via this server.

In the future, we plan to release separate versions for each operating system in parallel with the major releases of JTL-Wawi. The version “JTL-WMS Mobile 1.4” would then be compatible with JTL-Wawi 1.4, but no longer with JTL-Wawi 1.5. The individual major versions are available for download in the app store of your operating system. The previous web browser-based mobile app will no longer be developed further and will be discontinued in the medium term.
Further informationShipment tracking JTL-Track&Trace
Never receive complaints about missing parcels again: The new JTL-Track&Trace shipment tracking system brings online retailers a big step closer to this goal. The new interface allows you to keep an eye on the shipment status of your DHL parcels at all times. This allows you to actively and automatically inform your customers about delays even before the customer misses their parcel.
View shipment status of DHL parcels in JTL-Wawi
JTL-Track&Trace reads the shipment status of your DHL parcels via an interface in JTL-Wawi and sorts them clearly into four folders (A): Created, In transit, Delivered and Problem.

Solve delivery problems automatically
The information from shipment tracking forms a valuable basis for your further actions as a merchant. In many error cases, our automated processes, the JTL-Workflows, can take over your tasks – including customer communication. For example, set up a workflow that automatically sends an email to the customer when the shipment status Recipient unknown occurs, asking them to check that the address stored is correct. In the event of unplanned delays, you can also automatically inform the customer concerned of the whereabouts of their order by email.
Get active and communicate reliably
Define which shipment status you or one of your employees should be informed about. This allows you to contact the logistics provider directly in the event of problems, submit a follow-up request if required and inform the customer. With JTL-Track&Trace, you are always one step ahead of your customer and prove to be a reliable seller. Your reward: satisfied customers and positive customer reviews.
Open beta to start shortly
The technical basis for JTL-Track&Trace is already included in JTL-Wawi 1.4. Some pilot customers are currently testing shipment tracking as part of a closed beta phase. JTL-Track&Trace will then enter an open beta phase shortly. From this point on, we will activate licensing in the JTL-Customer Centre. During the open beta you can use the shipment tracking free of charge.
Prices
After the open beta, you can choose between six tariff levels, starting with a starter tariff JTL-Track&Trace 100 for a monthly price of 0,- Euro for the first 100 shipments, each additional shipment costs 3 cents in this tariff. The largest tariff is available for 20,000 parcels per month and will cost 149.99 euros for a monthly subscription. Each additional item will be charged at 0.8 cents in this tariff.
Further informationRestructuring at JTL-Shipping

The launch of the open beta of the new JTL-Track&Trace shipping module will be accompanied by a restructuring of the previous JTL-Shipping area. In future, JTL-Shipping will serve as a generic term for all JTL shipping modules.
The previous shipping label printing will then be called JTL-ShippingLabels. In the future, we will assign a third module to this area – JTL-AddressCheck, our address validation, which is currently still under development.
The renaming will be implemented gradually over the next few months – so don’t be surprised if you still find the old names in different places in JTL-Wawi or on our website for a while.
