User study “PUR Digital Solutions 2023”: JTL’s eCommerce software once again with top rankings
“Weeeee are the champions!” The rock anthem is once again echoing through our office corridors. For the third year in a row, JTL has achieved two champion rankings in the “Professional User Rating – Digital Solutions” (PUR DS) user survey. Our software was honored in the solution areas “Multichannel” and “Online Shop”. In this article, you can read about the individual categories in which we particularly impressed users and where we were even able to improve on previous years.
The PUR DS user study - briefly explained
The “Professional User Rating: Digital Solutions” is an independent user study on digital solutions conducted annually by the German research and analyst firm techconsult. As part of the study, experienced users evaluate market-relevant providers in eight solution areas at both product (solution rating) and company level (company rating). A total of over 2,000 users took part in the survey for the 2023 ranking.
JTL shines in the PUR diamond
The overall results of the user survey are presented for each solution area in the so-called “PUR diamond”. The better a provider performs in the two dimensions “Solution Rating” and “Company Rating”, the higher it is positioned in the chart. Providers with equally excellent solution and company ratings form the top of the diamond and are named “Champion”. And as a look at the diamonds in the “Multichannel Sales” and “Online Shop” solution areas impressively confirms: JTL has confidently maintained its place in the league of champions!
Top results in all categories and solution areas
JTL scored above average in the rating for both basic functions and solution-specific functions. The basic features include design, ease of use and administration, analysis tools, interfaces to other solutions, automated email dispatch and the price-performance ratio. In terms of solution-specific functions, we received excellent ratings for automated inventory reconciliation, order processing, goods management and inventory tracking, among others. Our interfaces to payment providers and shipping companies were also honored. Good overview of all sales channels and goods flows was also particularly appreciated in our multichannel solution.
Pure joy! JTL-Shop is the front runner in the PUR rating "Online shop"
Overall, our software convinced the surveyed Applications across the board and once again prevailed against well-known big players in the industry. While last year we took second place behind Shopify in the PUR diamond, we have now even taken pole position in the top field of online shops with JTL-Shop.
The high level of user satisfaction naturally makes us extremely happy. At the same time, we see it as confirmation of the path we took two years ago with the release of JTL-Shop 5:
Of course, we are particularly proud to receive this new award. It shows that our development strategy has met user requirements and wishes across the board. In my opinion, we have hit the “sweet spot” between usability and technical functionality with JTL-Shop 5. I am very pleased that this is reflected in the rating.
Multichannel software scores with high solution benefits
With regard to the “Multichannel solutions” area, the above-average performance in the “Solution benefits” category should be emphasized: Users were convinced that the application of our multichannel software helps to increase sales as well as customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The top customer review of the solution benefits also makes us proud, as “multichannel” has always been part of the DNA of our product portfolio. And we are consistently pursuing this course this year with the new integrations with the marketplaces Kaufland.de, OTTO Market, Voelkner, Conrad, MediaMarktSaturn, Cdiscount, Check24 and Hood.de. “The award and the Good user rating are a sign that we are still on the right track with our product strategy,” says Thomas Lisson. “System and interface openness are the basic prerequisites for successful multichannel retail – and also one of our strengths as a software provider.”
Best values also in the company rating
As a company, JTL can look forward to excellent results in the Company Rating. We even came top in the “Overall product portfolio” customer review. Last but not least, it is the above-average values in the category “Provider loyalty and recommendation” that make us grateful. The users surveyed would choose JTL again as a provider and recommend it to others. According to techconsult ‘s evaluation, this indicates that “JTL is confident in dealing with the needs of its customers and satisfies them at all levels.”
