From: Marco Heger / Pflanzwerk
It all started with two eBay stores and an xt:Commerce store in the fashion sector. But today, Pflanzwerk and the trade in high-quality garden accessories is our main area of business.
It was 2004 when we founded the fashion company Brandlots GmbH. Thanks to international contacts, we quickly became very successful in selling designer textiles in this country. For eBay listings, we initially worked with Turbolister, later with auctionweb and auctionmaster. As a two-man operation, we sometimes sit up late into the night in front of our computers to post new items. After all, we have to send out the incoming orders during the day. Our limits are quickly reached.
Searched and found: JTL-Wawi
Switching to JTL is not easy, but it is necessary. Of course, getting used to JTL-Wawi doesn’t work smoothly from one day to the next. However, we would never have been able to manage our economic growth without JTL. We would not have had the capacity for new store launches, such as pflanzwerk.de in 2014. It is particularly important to us that orders can be processed quickly and recurring processes can be automated. The clarity of a merchandise management system with a very broad product range and many different suppliers is extremely important.
Internationalization and clear growth strategy
Pflanzwerk is to be gradually expanded and become Europe’s largest mail order company for planters and high-quality garden accessories. To this end, various foreign stores are planned in the respective national languages, which will gradually go live from 2017 to 2018. We will also run accompanying advertising campaigns on radio and TV.
