Amazon VCS rethought - What's changing for you
If you sell via Amazon, you are probably already familiar with the VAT Calculation Service – VCS for short. Amazon takes care of the VAT calculation for you. Depending on the variant, Amazon also creates the invoices (VCS) or only provides the tax data (VCS Lite). If you don’t use an Amazon service at all, you can still upload your own invoices – this is done via the so-called IDU option (Invoice Data Upload).
With JTL-Wawi 1.10, we have completely revised the processing of this VCS data. The new system now automatically recognizes whether it is VCS, VCS Lite or IDU data. So you no longer have to worry about what should be processed – JTL-Wawi does it for you.
Processing has also become significantly more error-tolerant:
Particularly practical: VCS-Lite data can now be requested retrospectively for up to 30 days. This is helpful if booking data is missing or has been subsequently updated. The data can be provided in several reconciliations, as Amazon delivers the data with a time delay.
